You are right , as long as i know some prestige schools do "import" great performer from upper level for examination score purpose by " scholarship " ie GSIS is true cases i knew etc. Actually it is v easy to figure out , some schools got policy written that they dont accept transfer in for Sx or IBDP level.

Dear Shadeslayer,

ISF is more like mixed world with Asian , American and European.  Some want top ivy league and brilliant academic achievement, Some don't care.  Some moms would take kids back to China or somewhere for vacation for a month with least concern about school. Some are crowned princes or princesses get roadrailed to the kingdom of enterprises.  I won't be surprised to see the performance of some spoiled kids who would lower the average scores easily.

CKY's kids come from middle class families,most with well educated parents who have high expectation to give the best education for their children.  They play an important part in home tutoring and guidance.  I saw them work hard, and play hard.  I know several CKY kids , they all are very decent.  CKY's tution fee is not cheap at all. Some parents choose it over international schools because they trust it is nice to learn in balance with both eastern tradition and western culture.  My friend declined ESF and other IS offer long ago.

If you are in CKY parents' shoes, what do you think?  forgive the school and wait to see what happen next?  ISF parents can afford it, not CKY.

CKY 的孩子和家长素质高, 是真心相信他们的拥有长远potential的,良好中英基础下, 学校要做好IB, 真的不难啊!  问题出来了, 学校应大力改革, 不要再隐藏.

I don't understand why LPC can and other international schools can't!

IS 中六的孩子唔钟意随便转校, 高材生更加唔会, 除非有非常非常好路数或是出洋. Scholarship 完全不是亮点. 阿妈已经交重十一年学费, 交多两年少些麻烦好了. 孩子的social issue 可以是大件事.

Not sure about other schools but our school loses a couple of students to CIS every year and I can't imagine they are taking the bottom students

Do you mean attract lateral students?  I think only a handful of schools can do it given their IB DP score and college admission track record.  If money is a concern and one needs a scholarship, then that is a different issue.

I am referring to GSIS +scholarship wor... But i havent share the 2nd part. ....that students switch back to his old school after few months. His parents share due to the study atomosphere issue.

The school's result is probably the last thing the school cares about in GSIS.   Go to the school's website, they tell you almost nothing about how well or badly the students do in public exams or which universities they go to.   It shows how much the school cares.

This is the scholarship offered by GSIS.  It really is not that much.  I don't think the scholarship has ever been intended for the purpose of enticing top students from other schools to boost their overall result.

除非是人望高高处, 原本的学校track record 应真差, 一般year 10 up 转GSIS, 多数from local school. 孩子已经十五六岁才转校, 文化社交差异极大, 有scholarship ,未必等同帮到成绩进步,再者已经接近入大学, 最后一两年是冲刺期, 根本没时间让孩子融合了.又要博命, 又要融合,请问做得边样好?

要转校, 应在Year 9 以下转! 除非逼不得已!

Haven't dealt with this problem yet but it does seem to be a matter of princip ...

小朋友出去玩鬼打甘精神，好夜都願瞓，仲要一齊玩枕頭戰， 都唔知幾開心，遲瞓幾晚我覺得無問題。 反而我覺得最辛苦係班老師，帶住甘細小朋友遊學，之前要做好多預備功夫，而且責任好大， 老師壓力亦好大，唔係間間學校願意做。

That information seems to be readily available.  In the English Secondary School part of the website, one section is called "Examination Success" and another is called "Life after the ESD" listing out universities?
