Hi JennyL,
Sorry that I can't really disclose that cos he/she has been a good friend of mine for years and I understand some constraints he/she raised could be real.
For example, it may be difficult to outsource some of the extra-curriculum activities by getting permission from ESF or school, but difficult does not mean not possible, if that can really bring the betterment of our children, convenience to the parents, relief work load of the teachers without asking the scool to contribute other than the campus. We should at least try first!
However, it should not be so difficult to set up a more comprehensive website for the RAPT without begging the school to do that. The RAPT should have the access and the right to modify the content of her website independently. With a better and more visible website that should be updated and designed by the RAPT itself, RAPT can accomplish a lot more.
As a friend of his/her, I know I have already got an answer from him/her that he/she is not keen on the above suggestions as it may involve a lot of time of his/her or the RAPT to accomplish that.
However, as a RC parent, I would still want to know what can be done , if that should be done.
For your information, I have given him/her some information of more than one organization which are willing to custom -made extra-curriculum programs to schools.
Personally, I am in the manufacturing field and I am ready to contribute once the reqt would fit into my catagory.
And I do beleive there are parents in the related fileds of I.T., dentists, medical, travel agencies, furnitures, toys , printing, healthy shoes, school bags, uniforms . If the RAPT can gather these parent resources effectively and efficiently, we can contribute a lot more to the school and the students with only a fraction of the mkt price and increase the product lines and revenue of the RAPT without asking for mandatory membership subscription fees, and may be even enough to compensate those devoted parents with $ who are spending hours of their precious time in the school.
Thank you. |
