Hi buddiesboyd,

My experience is the same as Leung_i and Jackielee.  The only difference is the gift can be got on the same day !!       

And last week my boy also got a very cute and interesting gift (I can't describe it in writing) from his classmistress.  He said only 4 boys in his class got it.  I asked him why they had the gift and my son said because he's 乖 wow.  But I don't know whether this is true ah.

My boy told me today that they were asked to go out to the class mistress one by one and receite "天主經", then went back to their seat.  
He also said that the teacher asked them to go out, three in a group, to read/recognize words from a piece of paper.  
My boy is in class B, any difference between other classes, dear mammies??

My son tell me :  Monday-- All kids play ing the classroom and then Miss will call their one by one to go out and read the "天主經", and give a book for ask the kid to tell the story. My son say he don't know and then Miss will tell him the story and ask one question about the book.
Tue:  All kids singing in the classroom.
Some kid stand up and some sit down to sing 1 or 2 songs. { But I think it is not the true }  Hope a good result for us

Yes yes my son also told me on Monday that they need to recite "天主經".
It seems that like daily teaching and homework, the assessments are also different among classes.

I got a call from the Class Mistress this morning, telling me that my boy was not feeling well----HEADACHE!!! and that I was told to go to the school and pick him up.  

Luckily he has already finished today's assessment.  He told me (although not feeling well, but still talk a lot) that they had dictation, then recognizing pictures and words.  He said there were a lot on the paper.  

The exam takes sooooo long! It lasts almost 3 weeks, whereas my secondary girl is finishing her exam tomorrow! (They started on the same day)

I heard from one friend whose son is also in K2 (not 'brand' school) that their assessments also last 2 weeks.  But they have no dictations.

How many kids you have ? 2 ?

I have a neighbour who is 35-year old, currently pregnant.  Her 5th child will be born in 2 months' time.        Her oldest son is now 16-year old and youngest daughter is now 5.5-year old (who's my son's best friend).  I always laugh at her that she's not belong to this generation.

I have 3 kids, 14, 10 and 5. I obeyed "Donald Tsang's advice" mah, HAHAHAHAHA!
Just joking! I have them all by "accidents"!

I have a son 3 years old and interested in apllying St. Joesph next year for K2. I have a few questions:
1. Usually what time of the year is the application?
2. Is it very difficult to enter?
3. Are there a lot of homework?
4. are most students from kinder can go directly to primary school?

1. Early Jan every year.
2. Don't know. I'm not sure how many students to apply, but they will accept about 100 kids for 4 classes.
3. Not really. Everyday 1 page alphabet and/or 1 page number. Sometimes, 1 worksheet.
4. Since St. Jo Primary is a subsidiary school, it needs to follow Government's rule. According to some bk parents, they still can accept 80~90% students from his own kinder.

Indeed !! The happiest thing to my neighbour is that though she and her husband are very busy everyday on their own business (a shop), their kids are very disciplined and smart.  The youngest daughter (now in K3) gets 'academic prize' at school every year.  I saw her handwriting once.  Waaa.....very beautiful and neat.  So jealousy........           

My boy suddenly had fever (without any other symptoms) at 4 am last night.  After taking medicine, he's like nothing happened this morning.  
  Hope God bless him and everything OK lah.

He also said that teachers asked them to '讀熟D兒歌' for the test today.  And he said the 'story telling' test still not yet conducted for him, maybe today wow.
