About school bus, it strange...!
I checked with our bus sitter & she said her van will continue to serve us even SLR stopped the contract with 'Hoi Tone'! I wonder if she is really under that subcontractor 'Hoi Tone TRansportation'...???
If not, it means the effect may not apply to all route??  Really confusing...

Last year, they changed the school bus company but the van, the driver and the EE are the same.  I did not understand and asked them.  They told me that the new school bus company re-employ them.  So the problem is still here.

Wai Wai is so bored as no school today.  She phoned me several times.

This year, 15 marks can have a seat by lucky draw in 1st round.  So, there still have chance for your girl in St. Rose.

Regarding their level, I have no idea.  But the 視學報告, which was a few years ago, did not mention the school standard is not good.  The report had made a few comments on the school management, so you can see that the school make a lot of adjustments & plans to improve accordingly.  Moreover, they thave a new headmaster this year.  Things could be better.      I only know that they need to read a lot of books for "reading" even for P.1.  And please note that St. Rose Primary does not use "English" as the main media in school, but they have a "NET" in school.  If you want to know more, you may ask the moms in the St. Rose chat room under "小學雜談".

Regarding the school bus, it could be the same as Wai Ma explained.  However, in the past, there are actually 3 school bus companies run for St. Rose.  The problem could be management problem, so St. Rose chose 1 of them as the only school bus company for them.  So, instead of deal with 3 companies, the school only need to deal with 1.  Right now, the existing company will carry on until the school find a new one.  It could be one of the driver come out to set a new company then bid for the job.  Then, reform the team to run again.......  So, technically, the result is : remain unchanged.

My girl called and tell me a lot of school life this morning.  May be she's very happy to see the classmates again.

Last night I asked her
'Do you know what's missing from Hello Kitty's face'. I asked
'Mouth' she replied
Why??
'Because Hello Kitty's mami has no mouth, of course Hello Kitty without mouth la!' she said

My girl spends 3 hours daily on her homework!!      She does not want to concentrate on her work.  I need to tell her if she does not do her homework, better not go to school as well.  Then she will cry and say she wants to go to school and will do her homework.  However, this warning can only last for 1 minute. :cry:  :cry:

My girl only got 2 stamps on the O.  If she willing to do the homework, she can really do it quite fast.  It just that she will keep saying she is want to sleep, she does not want to do this and that, or she will not do it properly (on purpose).  Moreover, she is small BB, so her line on the words are with curves all the way.    Even if I give her all the dots to follow, she can't follow correct the whole word. Terrible writting.

As you said, must find a way to encourge them.  Any suggestion?

My daughter also cannot write the words beautifully, but I havn't rubbed it.  It is because she never write so much (words & pages) as before (in K1).  Now, she is willing to finish it at day time.  At night time, I just take a look, if not too bad, I will just let her.

Hey, is yr girl in K2 or K3?
Homework difficult or alot? My girl is now in K2 only; I really afraid if her 'fate' will be the same as yr girl....!!!
My girl now still managed ok la... but next year K3, she wll have to attend pm school, I really doubted if she can manage it not..      :-x  :-x

My girl is K2, she is a new student at SRL.

I also worry next year (K3, p.m. class), because she cannot take some activities in the afternoon.  I need to re-schedule again.  And I don't want to plan all the activities on Sat & Sun only.  Not enough time!

Today is better because only need to write #4 & 5.  She spent 1/2 hour to finish it.  

When my girl was in K2, she used to get up automatically around 7:30 am.  Now, she is in K3, she needs to get up 7:30 am but since September, I need to wake her up and she keeps saying that she is still sleepy.  Yesterday, she slept 2 hours from 6 - 8 pm, then dinner, then went to bed around 10 - 10:30 pm.  Still, she said that she still wants to sleep for a while and did not want to get up.

My son spend almost 3 hours to do his homework last night.   I asked him to do at school office, then he cried and said "no", finally, I sat with him and finished it.
I think we should let them to write more, I bought a copy book from book store and hope he will improve la.

Actually, I did some preparation in this summer; Apart fm her activities, I bought many copybooks (Chino la, Eng la, Math la, etc) & asked my Indonesia maid to work with her; Everday, she spend 0.5 - 1 hour to do it. If today write '1-10', next day I asked her write 'ABC'... By the end of summer, she already ok to write her Chinese Name 熙雅 & do simple calculation la!
Now my worry is, K3 in SRL has no am class; My babe used to get up early in K1 & K2; Everyday she  takes 1-2hr sleeping after lunch... Ai.... How come SRL has such a strange arrangement for K3 ka???
I wonder if I should transfer my girl out of SRL...

I have a suggestion wor!
My girl started drawing class in this summer; Teacher shows them how to use a pencil properly & draws lines & circles... It seems that, after all these practice, her writing skill becomes better wor! Her English writing all got 3 stamps but  '日'字 only got 2 stamps; Any way, I show her my appreciation, she feels very happy & willing to erase those ugly ones  for improvement ...  我都好開心呀

Tks for telling this info ah!
My idea is, the birth rate keeps reducing every year... So, getting in a 'Good School' may be easier in the coming few years. Thus, every parents have different ideas; Some wish bb study happy; & some wish bb study in　名校.  I only wish bb can study happy & less pressure.

i don't know what is the 1st round ,2nd round and 3rd round to applicat of SRL primary school......who can tell me in detail ,and i want to know what to count how many marks i have ........
and i will not take the school next month ,because the place where my daughter get the bus is danger ,and EE no choice for me ,so ......

Ha?  You want to change when K3?  Any case like that?  May be your daughter no need to sleep when she is in K3.  Let's take a look first.

I also don't like the arrangement for K3, but as I know most of the schools in Kowloon Tong are like that, for example, St. Catherine, K2 - p.m., K3 - a.m.
