Yeah, Calix got the same books too!  The "mosquito" one is too difficult for them.  I'd read the whole book to Calix but he started to lose concentration when I told him about the "mosquito facts".  But I think that's the intention of the school to get the parents involved.

today cassidy is so happy.. coz she got a box of playdoh from ms chan.. she got a pink one..
when i ask her whether she taught the letter G this week or not.. she said no... i think they have revision or test this week

Calix too!  He got a box of black playdoh and said it's used to make "a little ball, a bigger ball, a great big ball"...

Calix was also very excited to show us his "My Little Hands" handprint immediately after school.

Calix also said they haven't learnt "G" and for Chinese words, he kept saying Ms. Chan had taught "小"...that means no new word was taught this week.

FU Soen said Calix and Charles both got black playdoh.  Now I see she was right.  SHe was happy to get a yellow playdoh from Ms. Chan.  But she did not mention the assessment.

Calix also said Fu Soen & Howard got the yellow playdoh while Lo Yee Fun's is Pink.  Calix's favourite colour is yellow and therefore he could spot who got the yellow one.

Actually do you notice that the playdoh was used?  Calix told me before that they played the playdoh during class and at that time, he told me that he played with the black one.  So it's just that Ms. Chan let them take back their playdoh home today.

Just want to know whether there's no colouring homework sheet this week?

Btw, I read from other threads that some moms said:

(1) the playdoh is to be used to make something to be handed in next Monday.  Any idea?

(2) the kids have changed their groups and seats after the assessment.  Have you heard about this?

Oh, there's why Fu Soen says Dennis is not in apple group anymore?!
I asked Fu Soen what's the yellow play doh for and she says it's for making a snowman.  I will ask her whether it is a homework or not tomorrow.

cassidy told me no need to bring back the playdoh back school wor... and she told me she sit back to her seat now... they have changed the seats once and now they sit back to their original seat...and she is still in watermelon group

she told me the playdoh is given by ms chan and pkay at home... um,... any ideas whether they really need to make something back school or not?

Vianca got the orange color playdoh which marked with her name on the box. Meanwhile, she got a blue one with no name on it. I asked Vianca why & she told me Ms Chan gave her because she's good girl. I don't believe it. I doubt whether she took her classmate's one. As there's no name on it, seems not likely. Maybe it's one of the toys from my house. I'm not sure!

However, she played in a very bad way on Sat night! She put a small piece, after pulling & squeezing into a little ball, into her left ear. And then the blue one into her right ear. Then she smiled because she thought they make her look very nice. Maybe the concept of wearing ear-rings. I was shocked when seeing that. While I was removing (right away of course) them fm her ears, I explained her this is so dangerous because..... She's ok! No cry!

Sometimes the kid has terrible imagination! Be careful!
