me too, my son also very sad:cry: since his school have a reward for the top 10 students on every month for every level 1,2,3,4,5,6 which everyday have read 每日一篇, get full marks and also check your reading time, to verify which is the top 10
student, now my son status is within top 5 from day 1 to now, so he is very worry cannot get the reward.
I found he love chinese so much after to read 每日一篇 and have improved him willing to study the chinese, so this reward is verify he have tried his workhard to do and this is the 1st reward if he can get which I think important for him to encourage his workhard and doesn't mean he want being well known from teachers,classmates.
anyway, he seems will not get the top 10 in the end of this month because he is unable to join on yesterday but for me, he is already No. 1 la! :

Hi all,

Do you find the Chinese "每日一篇" a bit harsh for P1 pupils?  My son always finds it difficult to interpret (maybe he's not smart enough).  We need to sit next to him every night when he reads and he needs us to explain some of the words to him beore he can answer the questions.

我覺得每一日篇頗深 wor，囝囝經常解唔到那個是主語，有時佢自己做，估佢是撞答案的。

另有無囝囡是讀English Pal呀?

係呀! 啲英文都重未教到所以我囝全靠佢做課外作業的經驗了.

But we are working parents and we'd like to read it with him and explain to him the words/phases that he doesn't understand so that he can answer the questions, otherwise he'll be depressed.  Thus we can only do it at night!

初頭我仔仔都好緊張個網給的分數, 但佢見我地唔介意所以現在都冇咁緊張, 我係咪唔啱呢?

I think my son and I are too nervous about the marks.  We should take it easy.

我相信緊張是必然的, 但我覺得小朋友是非常受我們本身影響, 所以好多時都要常常提醒自己和丈夫甚麼時候做得啱或錯.

囡囡今天有評估，一早就苦瓜乾對住我話怕唔識。唉！我只好話唔識就唔好做，留空吧。後來等她狀態好返D，才叫她唔識就“是單”填la。唉！唉！唉！.........

今早陪兒子起床梳洗預備返學，跟兒子對話令我樂上半天，想同大家分享下。
電視正在播著唔知講到什麼退休計劃，
兒子開口說：「媽咪，我都有退休金。」
我：「退休金？！咩退休金？」
仔：「我退休喇，我唔做行長喇，老師話比第D同學仔做下，所以送左舊退休金比我！」
佢走去書包度，之後搵左一個仲係青青地色既”柑”出黎！
仔：「喇，呢個咪退休”柑”囉，Miss Lee送比我架！我唔係好捨得食….」

我笑到流眼淚，好慶幸兒子有個好老師！
