Wow, my kid has completed the Speech Festival today.  61 contestants have participated the Speech as this is non-open boy Solo, large group of people include parents, strong opponent such as
St. Paul Co-ed
La Salle
DBS
DBS PD
HKUGA
Kai See
PLK Chan Sau Yan

3 Second-Runner up from St. Paul Co-ed and 3 First-Runner up from DBS, La Salle and the other school is well.  The marks are 87 for the Champion.  But I think La Salle

General comment, gesture is required but not too many.  Facial expression, words and the rhythm will the marking scheme.

Good experience and will improve next year.  He could do better for the gesture and also the volume as well, there are rooms for improvement.

Side issue, I saw the actress Tseng Kwa Sin also took her La Salle boy to participate but in another room.

Also this morning I met former Principal of Wah Yan Primary School, Principal Lee, he smiled, gave the words of wisdom and blessings to my son, he is such a kind man.

Hi Chelsea,

It is a good opportunity to exposure you boy in such event, it is a good experience and I am sure he can do much better next time after viewing the performance of others. My boy went to the Speech Festival every year but he never won. always came fourth. :cry: But it does help in polishing his presentation skill which is very useful in the presentation in G.S. project.

Keep up the good work, boy.

唉... 今日同佢班主任傾過電話，
班主任都話見佢隻右手仲係腫啦！
佢都用對眼睇吓，自己都覺痛架，
佢係要扭吓我先安落。
琴日最後我tum 住佢話兩星期，
佢死死氣話好，佢唔好再整到，
我已經買左2 條攬枕，Zip 左係床邊，
免得佢反訓隻手打落窗台，唔係大件事了！

Thanks to ALL of your compliments to my boy.

When I saw those super prestige school uniforms, I figure out the chance to win will be slimed and also I think he was scare too, the usual volume practiced at home and also the gesture we have practiced did not show,  what I will say, he has completed but with no surprise.  I do not know his ranking as only 1st, 2nd and the 3rd were announced, but his marks were 7 marks less than the Champion.  For sure this will brush up his public speech skill and learnt from the mistake.  Aim high, gain high next time.
