Do you have consider "York" the English letterland is very good? I am so 15/16 about to choice the York or Kentville? pls common all the subject if you have idea from friend or other way. Urgent! thanks

Would opt for Jolly Phonics. Lettlerland is being used less in the UK now. Educators have found that it confuses many children having letters with figures attached to them and that they find it hard to recognise the letter without Annie Apple or Robber Red wrapped around it!

I would choose Kentville and build up good background of Chinese and Maths.  According to Kentville's current parents, its English is quite good too, but you can't compare with some kindergartens which offer NET teaching English.  During weekend, you can let your child join a phonics course.  This is my plan too.  I always think Chinese is more difficult to learn than English.

They have 2 campas in Kowloon and one in HK; the one at Sulfork Road is a new campas, opened last year Sept., mainly for pre-school and early child education.

The school offer English and Mandarin bi-lingual teaching environment i.e. like my son , 2.5 yrs old now, each day 3 hours at school, around 1.5 hr for English include sing songs, artwork, story reading...and 1.5 hr for Mandarin, include again sing songs, art & craft, learning different concept... Each month, I receive summary of word/ concept that they are teaching in English and in Chinese. e.g. shap, month frame, color, songs...   

Is your kid already attend any nursery? The school is very helpful, you can call them direct and arrange a personal tour to visit the school if you want.

It may sound funny, but their school fee depends on how many days you attend the school. Of course, for full time, 5 days nursery is standard, about $5,900/ mth. (include all tea expenses) And, if full time nursery kids decide to stay back for afternoon session as well, they have special rate. ( They do have student from K1 return for afternoon class!! I met their parent...)

And for me, since my boy will be going to KV in the morning for K1, I plan to enroll him 1.5 hours 5 days at Tutor time in the afternoon. They open their afternoon K1 class for outsider to join as learning English and Mandarin class. i.e. You can expect these 'language class' means join their K1 program. (I was told they currently have a couple KV and SC student come over for afternoon..)

At the moment, I plan 3 days for Mandarin and 2 days for English, or vice versa. For 5 days 1.5 hours, it cost around $2,900/mth.

For your information, they allow just join one day per week for just English or Mandarin as well.

My son is studing in Keen Mind now, he also attend a singing class on Saturday morning in school.  And I let him have a "Kindermusik" on Saturday in Central.  
I will choose Kentv..  Because chinese language is more difficult to learn in my past experience.  And I think he need to train on discipline before enter primary school.  Because it is important to concentrate in study to gain knowledge.

For the active approach learning or child-centered,  I think I can influence him in daily life as I am working in creative industry.  Like I bring him to Disney Hotel last Sunday for a buffet.  He enjoy playing with all characters arounded.  It is important a suitable arrange activities can be helpfull.  It is try to make him feel confident and established "cultural capital" as well.

Since no Sunday class, so my girl still didn’t attend that phonic class yet.  I still looking for good phonic class and 普通話 class on weekday or Sunday.

For the music class, my girl just 3 in this month, but start her music class in Tom Lee (Telford Garden) month ago, actually, her attend “Kindermusik" in Central from one year old and stop it around 2.5 year old.  But Tom Lee is must different, class room style, has to do the home practise.  Do you mind to go to HK side.  There has much choice, as I known, “My Music Box” also has music class for young child.  Here are the website. :  http://www.mymusikbox.com
One more option: Kenji Music Centre, the centre is in TST.  I want to join their class before, but not enough the time is not suitable for me.  You can call Ms Chow Tel: 2311 3926.

I just call Tutor Time and they said that regarding"I plan 3 days for Mandarin and 2 days for English, or vice versa. For 5 days 1.5 hours, it cost around $2,900/mth."  just for over  2.8 years old child to join,if my son is 2.5 years, he can join the Nursary class in p.m. (Tuesday/Thursday) HKD2,250 per month.

I haven't make decision to let my girl enter KV/SC/PLKTAYSF, minie is prefer KV because my girl is ver active & i hope school can train her more discipine, however the disadvantage is pm because she is now in am class & i'm afraid she can not swift her routine to pm, for SC, my girl's cousin is studying in K1, but i haven't see her english outstanding than others kinder, i like PLKTAYSF is the english environment is quite good for children because they must speak only english in the class except chinese lesson (good in AM class), but the weakness is more difficult to enter primary school compare to KV or SC, we've to pay the  miscellaneous on 31/3, right ? Any comment can advice

所有kentville的k2都係下午班, 起初我跟你的concern都一樣, 恐怕仔仔因慣了午睡而未能集中上堂.  開學後仔仔只是頭幾天放學後較倦, 回家後就睡著了, 打後適應了都再無此問題, 其實小朋友適應力很強的.  上了下午班後, 我發覺時間更好用, 上午可以安排上興趣班, 十一時後吃午飯, 十二時半上車, 五時半放學回來沖涼及做功課.  吃完飯溫書睇圖書及親子時間.  十二點前上床睡.
