I am gald the school will change the school bus co. again. Their service is lusy. They charge me HK$720/month instead of HK$540. I used to pay HK$540/pax for last 2 years. HK$720 is too much la.

My girl did draw a nice pic and was give to the teacher. She did not say antying about it. Hopefully, we will meet soon and chit chat again.

My girl bring a paper heart back to put a bb photo & a photo lately. Bring it back to school tomorrow, the teacher will hang in the classroom and return it next Monday.

She's very good this time, she remember every details and most important is remember to tell me.

yes heihei brought a paper heart too and we have already put a bb photo and a recent photo with some heihei's drawing for decoration a bit on the paper heart and bring it back to school today.

actually we planed to let heihei to take the school bus starting from next month. however when we saw the notice from school about撤銷school bus service last night, we don't know how to do now. can somebody tell me more about the school bus or we should check with school to get some more information    thanks for all of your information in advance.

My girl is studying K2 & last nite she brought me the leaflet about school bus change as well! I was shocked! I just called 'Supervisor Ms Liu' & she said most of the complaints were fm primary school wor... She said parents complained the school bus was too crowded & not overrided...
I told Ms Liu my concern is, Isnt it too rush to change a school bus company at this stage? School started already 1 month. I tried to check other 'non-nominated' school bus & they said already full-side la! Really 'ho fan ah'....

Is yr child studying SLR Kindergarten? Did u attend to the parent seminar before school start? Principle Lam said, there is no priority for our girls to be captured by primary school; All depends on 'fate'! Really.
I dont believe it 'MARK' calculation and it somehow makes us feel better to have a chance to be selected. This year, area 34 combined with what ~ 31?? Can t remember law... Just hope my honeybaby will have this luck la...

Why they charge you $720 instead of $540?  Did you moved to a far away district?  They charged me that same as the last 3 years $660.

Actually, you can still use the existing school bus company.  It is because there will be no change until the school find the right school bus company for replacement.  So, if you need to arrange school bus for your girls, don't need to find the 保母車.

Yes, the school cannot promise all of their KG students can be transferred to their primary section as the primary section is govt. subsidized.  The school has no choice of students in the 1st and 2nd round.  What they can promise is there will be at least an interview in 3 rd for their KG's kids.  

For this year, I heard that there are about 40 kids in the 3 rd round for ~10 seats.  Per Sister Lam, the kids from KG to primary section is around 86 (or 89? Don't remember the exact number).  But I also heard that there were calls for last minute, right before the school year start, for the 3rd round applicants.  So, the final number could be more.  With the 150 students in K3, there are about 2/3 of them go to the primary section.  The ratio is not bad at all.  

How many marks you get for the 1st round?  If you have 20 marks (right age - 10 marks, first child - 5 marks, catholic - 5 marks), then it is quite safe to get a seat in the 1st round.  If you have only 15 marks, then, luck is need in the 1st and 2nd round.  If your girl fail in the 1st round, then get her prepare for the 3rd round.  The chances will be higher if your girl works well in the KG.  Like has rewards and recomendation letter from KG.

我想知多d關於校車方面的資料，其實我本想不乘校車了，因為校車未能在方便及安全的情況下接送我女兒，但現在卻得知將會更換校車公司(其實不太清楚)，想知要乘車的話是否要重新申請或是會利用新校車公司但路線照舊地接送學生？？
同時想知有沒有街車由牛頭角到學校！

Nothing confirm yet.  The only notice we got yesterday is they terminated the contract and the school will source for new school bus company.  Right now, everything is remain unchanged.  

If you want to start using the school bus next month, you can call the existing school bus company to check for details.  For new school bus, routes and charges, we don't have the information yet.  Or, you may call the school to check instead.

hi amywonglo, thanks for your information & advice. actually my most concern after I read the notice from school about 撤銷existing school bus on thur night - "did the school bus do something bad to the kids", i need to make sure this point before I keep my original plan to let heihei taking the school bus next month(actually we have already confirmed to the current school bus company one week ago)  I talked to 廖主任yesterday & she said the most complaint from parents is唔準時/時間長但school bus姨姨仍然好好咁take care the kids. it makes me feel more comfortable after talking with her so mostly we will keep our plan to take the school bus starting from next month.

I have been using the school bus for 3 years.  This is the 4th year.  So far, I have no problem at all with the school bus.  May be there are some routes which caused the problem.

The main concern with the school bus from the notice is the rental of other school buses for some routes.  The school wants the school bus company to handle St. Rose alone.  This will ensure the time control and the quality of the school bus.  Sister Lam told me once that this is important as they also concern regarding the cleaning condition of the school buses.  If they handle other schools or companies or any outsiders, they don't know who had been on the school buses and if the school buses are "clean" and safe for the kids.   Of course, there could be some other problems which force the school to terminated their contract immediately.  I think we can trust that the school and PTA has the kids' benefit on the 1st priority and will act to protect them.  So, don't worry too much.

Hi, Zoepk,

The existing school bus company will run until the school find the right one.  So, it may be one month or more until we hear from the school again regarding this issue.   When the school confirm which company they will use, they will also inform us the details with the notice.  Only when you get the new notice from school regarding the school bus and you still have question, then you can call the school to clarify.

So, you can just keep as what it is right now, no need to worry about that at all.

How is SLR primary school in this few years? I heard the school 'used to be good' because it was a English school; what about the situation now? Is it mainly in Chinese learning??
