From my experience, the marks represented the accumulated no. of words the passage your kid read....It doen not matter when you read the passage gar.

If the kids are reading the SAME passages, they should get the same marks gar wow.  

同埋幾時有補讀呀 ? >> first ~ 15 to 20 days of the subsequent month.....has limit in the no. of 補讀 passages gar wow

another issue is if you can choose the levels of reading ar.......should be only Level 1 for P1 gar, if your school can allow you to read both Level 1 & Level 2, of course the passage for Level 2 is longer, more words & can get more marks lar.

Only 1 possibility come up to my mind -

Nevermind lar, mark is not the most important gei.   Actually i don't really like this game, as it does not indicate if we get the right /wrong answer.
