Can't get into SPCC is not the end of the world and can't get in the 2nd interview is nothing.  After all, SPCC is not for every one here no matter how good is your kid.  You know what, applicants for 07/08 include son of Dick??? Poon, Lau L??? Hung, Si? Tai J??, etc.  If your kid fails, it is not his/her problem.  Probably, it is ours.  Let's count on our GOD, he will provide the best for our kids.

I remember my daughter told me the first question she was being asked was how did she get here.  Then, my daughter response the teacher the truth..

take the suttle bus, then KCR, then MTR, then Taxi

then, the teacher said, you take so many..

Of course, we don't have a private driver but we have a car.  My husband decided not to drive on his own as he was not familiar with the location.  

So, when I learnt that the 2nd interviewee has their own driver, that really make me down.  I still remember they addressed on their ad that they will not depend on child's own background.  It is contradict to me.

Can't believe that the largest web as BK got no member in that selected 200.

Hi, Just one question for you, Doris.  Why you browse BK?  I guess you don't know much about the application / selection processes for SPCC and you want to update yourself on the development.  The reason for that is probably that you are not absolutely sure you will be offered a place.  If you are connected to SPCC and you are sure you will be offered a place, I don't think there is any point of coming here.  Sorry, if I am wrong in my thinking process.

That's right!

If a kid is smart and with potential, there is possibility that there won't be any difference in their career years later when compared between one graduated from SPCC and the other merely from an ordinary district school.

Just an example to make myself clearer.  When two young newly qualified doctors join the Hospital Authority, their entry and maximum salary point are exactly the same notwithstanding one is from SPCC and the other is from, say, a NT district school.  

The above demonstrates that failure in getting entry to SPCC is not the end of the world to your kid.  
There is still a long road ahead of him; whether or not he will be successful in future depends much on his own ability, diligence and also luck!

A real example I found is from a friend of mine who was once the youngest person qualified as an architect in Hong Kong (i.e. an Authorised Person under the Building Ordinance) and now working in directorate grade in a listed company.  According to him, he only graduated from a primary school located on top of the building in an old public housing estate of the early years.

As far as I know, not all students of SPCC come from filthy rich families.  Anyway, children of the very rich also need to study at school.  It's true that SPCC is not for everyone, afterall it only has 120 seats for each form.

To all fellow parents, let's keep our spirit high.

Please don't get me wrong and there is no need to react strongly to what I said.  If you think I am saying 風涼話, that I must tell you I am NOT.  I have no connection to SPCC and still waiting for the 2nd interview letter, hopefully I will have one.  

As far as I can see here is truely no BK member himself/herself here got the 2nd interview letter, right? Exclude  all those telling us "my classmates"/"my friend"/"my friend's friend got the letter.

I think this is a hard time for most parents, I am one of them.  Actually, no BK member belongs to one of that 200 lucky kids can be understood.  Since the frequence user of this topic is just few, compare to the total number of BK member.

spcc煞有介事要家長提交住址証明, 其它dss或私校都不需住址証明的.... 其實會不會住在hk side的較佔優? 除了我, 我有幾位朋友都是住在九龍或新界或西貢的, 都沒有2nd in....你們又住在那裏?
