Thanks for the tips! My daughter had the interview this morning. The teacher asked her name and age. Then bring her to a small table with the interview teacher. The teacher asked her to write her name. She has some worksheets on her hand. Something like matching exercices. But my daughter didn't tell me what other question she asked. Then the children will play together in a small corner until approx. 20 mins is over.

She will be 4 in april. Interview for PY1. I think it's ok if they can't write their names. Don't worry!

I just brought my daughter for her PY1 interview.  She said the teacher asked for her name, age and then a "homework" exercise where she needs to circle the objects that is being asked.  She seemed to have fun with it. Good luck to all other kids.......

I don't quite know what my daughter did inside. She said she 'played with a castle', and I gathered that she circled something and it seemed that she was asked some colours.

It's great that your children can tell what has happened.  I think I still need to wait a long time for my little one to tell me something directly.

What time did your daughter arrive? I saw a little girl with very long hair at 9 something but guessed that she wouldn't be there so early. And it turned out that that was the elder sister of an interviewee. Then I didn't see any girl with particularly long hair. I stayed there till around 10.15a.m. cos my daughter was busy playing with puzzles. What was your daughter wearing and who did she come with?

As planned, my girl should wear as a pink lady with red ribbons for her hair.

She should come with my husband and my maid.

I have the impression of a girl coming with daddy and a maid, but I could not remember what the little girl look like. Hope we could meet sometime in future.

I asked my girl what she played(interviewed) in Sister's school? She said: nothing outside but inside she played circle, square, retangle and triangle! I think the teacher asked something about shapes!

Do u know when the school would send out the letter of acceptance/rejection?

It was pretty windy there in the school on Wednesday. What kind of jacket do students normally wear on this kind of weather to keep warm? As u can see, I'm always concerned about whether the children are warmly dressed, cos my two children tend to get a flu/cold fairly easily, though the situation with my daughter has improved after attending K1.

Sorry, I don't have any idea.

My girl usually wears the inner part(fleece) of the jacket (windcoat+fleece).

For school uniform, you can choose either summer or winter.  My girl wore summer PE clothes for class photo taking yesterday.

My elder girl also very weak when she was in K1, she visited the hospital four times during 1 year.  However, after P1, she is stronger and stronger.  Yesterday she wore short T-sheet + short pant at home.  I think this is due to the swimming class once a week from P1.  She is not afraid of cold after that.

I hope yours will be stronger later on also.

I've missed the X'mas fair that was held in last Dec.  is there any event that is also open to the public in the coming months?  Is the PY1 Open House in April open to the public as well?

My girl is 1 only, so I don't want to call the school for a visit yet, but I would like to have a brief idea of the school first if I can.

我的囝囝係06年2月出世,我一直留意緊sis, 去年12月趁xmas fair 都去了睇校舍, 比我感覺唔錯.睇過sis的website, 有d地方唔知可唔可以請教你? 先唔該你的幫忙..  

所有國際學校都要交debenture, 其實係有什麼用途, 我見個webpage 話離校半年後就會退回

另外,有一個叫capital levy 的費用,是mug 東東?

除此之外,仲多唔多其它雜費?  sis係咪年年加學費嫁?
曾經睇過話07年會開secondary, 落實左未呢?

我一向好欣賞星加坡2文3語都做得好好,加上大家對sis的口諀好好,但我的囝囝只係身在一個普通收入家庭, 所以要計算吓係咪真係可以應付未來長遠的費用.

Debenture means 學校債劵, while Capital Levy is "tax". That's why you can redeem your 債劵, but you cannot get your tax back.

For PY1, apart from school uniform, there isn't much 其它雜費. Everything is more or less covered eg, books, snacks, outings etc.

I thinkyou can try to visit the school on  20/4
PY1 Open House. Although it's not as big function as fun fair, still value to get a rough idea for PY.

Yesterday was the PTC (Parent-Teacher Conference), there was a small book fair outside the school bookstore.  Many parents (included me) bought some extra execise books with 20% discount for our children to do. If there is one in April, you can ask the bookstore manager to introduce some VCD to your child.  She is always willing to help.

我都覺得每年都加學費,記得大女讀py時是5萬3千幾, 依家已加了一萬, 小學加得仲多...

中一是今年9月便開,但未知永久校址在那裡,暫時這2年會在原校! 學校原本教育處批准收1200個學生,現有學生800多人,所以加多2班中學都暫時沒有問題的. 學費曾出過circular問家長學校proposed的學費覺唔覺得comfortable,好像好多家長都覺得唔comfortable. 希望佢最後唔好咁貴啦!
