Yes, I read through the test paper sample of English, all the words are provided for them to fill in, seems not very difficult.

But for General studies, no sample.

I think there is no class position on the report.  If so, how can I know whether my girl is above or below average?

Just like her maths test.  80 marks to me alone make no sense if I don't know the class average.

You can ask the teachers and they will tell you the position ... and as i know the first ten will be marked in the report (that's why a parent told me and her kid is now in P6)

That's better.
My girl just can't spell words.
Computer, write, draw, playground, recess, eight, front, library,lessons, student, blackboard, table, desk, case, count, etc, all cannot memorize no matter how many times I ask her to remember.

And she always says that 舅父的妻子是姨母
Holy!  She has 3 姨母 and 1 舅父 but still cannot distinguish them.

yes, as what i said before... your daughter is very hardworking wor and so are you. My daughter just learn piano on Tue and western dance in school on fri and chinese dance on sunday.... Don't prefer to let her learn too much.... Since school already give them high pressure some time, want her to take a break besides and do what she wants to do. Otherwise, she almost has no freedom.

I understand you. They are always like this. Like mine, something that i teach her today... no matter how many times, she always seems doesn't know what i am saying and don't tell me whether understand or not. Then what do u think she will understand lei, like what i teach her today, she will remember in today (28 oct) next year. It's true. She is always like this and makes me mad all the time.

Hi Chuiyeebird,
My girl likes dancing very very much.  She begged me to let her learn ballet when she was three.  So I don't want to cut her ballet and even add chinese dance at school.  I am thinking if in p.3 or p.4 I really cannot afford time for her ballet, she still got chinese dance at school.

She also likes drawing very much.  I cut her drawing for a long time.  I felt guilty about this as she got a prize and I shouldn't have dropped this for her if my health was not that bad at that time.  I just add drawing back a couple of weeks ago.  After 2 years of waiting, finally got admitted to 盧峰 in Tin Hau.  Although it's kind of busy recently, she is almost six and cannot wait any longer or 盧峰 won't accept her.  They already think that she is a bit too old to join their beginners class.

Phonics learning is essential and she enjoys her lessons very much, playing with the teacher and another boy about the same standard as her.  

For 鉛筆書法, since the grip of my girl is not correct, I sent her to this class to correct her grip.  She enjoys it very much too.  It is strange that she can sit there for 1 hour and write a page of chinese words happily, but if I ask her to write at home, she will complain.  So better learn outside then struggle with her at home.

She enjoyed everything she is learning except piano.  She hates practising.  But I am under the impression that Canossian school will force you to learn at least one kind of instrument, so cannot drop this one either.

My girl has also begged me to enrol her in 紙黏土 class since July.  So most probably I will drop 鉛筆書法 and make time for 紙黏土。

She is interested in too many things.  But 'academic' classes like 珠心算 or Kumon will kill her.  So I never thought of applying these for her.

As long as your kid can arrange time to study besides extra curricular activities. Just let her go.... and of cos she feel happy of being busy all the time. At least she feels enjoyable. Therefore, you don't have to be guilty.

The greatest disturbance to her study is relatives' visits.  My girl cannot concentrate on her school work:cry: whenever there is guest in my house.  

Today my sister come to visit us.  During her visit, my girl did nothing productive, showing my sister all her stuff and playing with her.  

When my in laws come to have dinner with us on school days, my girl and I always end up having late nights and are forced to cancel morning interest classes.

I always wish that they won't come Mon-Thur. Fri - Sun are fine.
My in laws are going to move to my same building...  Hope that it won't distract my girl's study

我個女話照著PE衫呀!所以我唔理她!因為我都覺得著裙都可以,不過唔理她,由她照著PE衫!
