SIS PY1 parents,

How do you arrange your kid's schedule coz school time is 11:50-15:00? Do they have Lunch before 11am? Need to prepare snack or milk right after school? How about their nap?

The interview is next tuesday. Can you tell me the nearest parking?

的確，SIS PY1上學的時間表真奇怪，剛好是中午午飯時間來上課。

希望有經驗的SIS家長可以跟我們分享一下“PY1的午飯時間安排”方法。

My little one is currently PY1. my little one normally wakes up early, drinks milk + light snack, early lunch before going to school. the school provides snack for children in tea time. but my little one used to be very hungry after school. fortunately, the school hour for PY2 is different and better.

Hi,

My daughter will be interviewed on Wednesday. Any parents know if there is a difference between those interviewed on Tues and Wed? Or simply that there are too many candidates?

最近的car park(公共)是在黃竹坑巴士總站對面個空地, 是臨時停車場.

py1是返下午,py2是上午,兩者都要就小學返學及放學的時間,校車較易安排!

我們是星期三面試! 唔知同申請時間有沒有關係, 我們好像9月或10月申請!

We also handed in the application in Oct, and my daughter will be interviewed at 9.30 on Wed. How about yours? So, do we go to the office first when we arrive?

Re: the car park. If I remember correctly, those who park there can ask the watchman at the entrance of SIS to chop on the ticket and there will be some sort of preferential rate, eg, if you leave within one hour, only the rate for that hour would be charged. Otherwise, the minimum parking time is two hours. But I don't know if there is any change now.

通常在等lift處有指示牌,或在lift裡面也有指示去那裡interview.

本來打算早d去帶個女去py的playground那裡玩熟d先入去interview,不過想想下, 我個女那麼爛玩, 怕她玩到唔肯走到時喊就慘,還是in完後才玩...唔知到時會不會見到妳呢?

Pending on his morning schedule, my son usually has his 'brunch' at around 10 and it's a full on meal.  I treat this as the most important meal of the day as it has to keep him going until well after 3.    At school, they serve a light snack of biscuit, bread or fruit.   He is usually hungry afterwards so we always have a snack ready such as muffin, sandwich, macaroni cheese, fruits, or french toast, but the portion is kept light in order not to spoil his dinner appetite.    Dinner time is at 6.30pm.   Bed time is around 9.00pm.

Naps are still a little erratic though my son hardly takes them now because of his after school activities.  Whenever possible though, eg. on the weekends, I do encourage him to sleep in the afternoon.  

Nearest parking is opposite the Wong Chuk Hang Tsuen bus depot.  Instead of turning left up the hill to SIS, keep driving straight for 20 metres, it's an open air parking on your left hand side.  It's quite obvious and you wouldn't miss it.  Parking charges are for a minimum 2 hours but you can get the ticket stamped by the SIS guard at the school entrance.   You save 1 hour parking.

I have friends interview on both days. The only difference I can think of is those on wed has brother or sister currently in SIS. Is that true for you?

By the way, one parent told me that SIS plans to change the school holidays to be the same as those in Singapore. Is that true? If yes, it's very difficult of us to manage while my husband and maid is following hk holidays.

My daughter is also scheduled for this Wednesday 11:30am.  Her brother is in SIS P2.  However, I doubt the school will group the kids for interview based on whether they have siblings in SIS or not.  It will be too obvious.

But I sure hope it makes it easier for my girl to get in...... wonder what the admission ratio is this year.

My daughter is the eldest and she will be interviewed on Wed, so I think the day may not have anything to do with siblings. Anyway, good luck to all those to be interviewed today and tomorrow.

Btw, how true is the news about changing holidays to correspond with Singapore? Is the difference in holidays great?

今天下午帶女兒去了面試，那邊氣氛相當輕鬆，沒有壓力。

除了星期二、三之外，四、五都會有學生去面試。

面試時間大約15-20分鐘。聽説，學生進去先是幾個在一起玩，老師從旁觀察一會兒，然後就帶他們單獨面試。

至於“學校準備跟隨新加坡假日放假”的事情，也打聽了一下，看來屬於誤傳。

自從初三和女女在祈福分開時她大喊後, 她好像好怕唔見到我,有時stick住,甚至喊! 所以決定明天唔陪她去, 希望這樣她可以安定些...

我問了我女兒，她也說不出個所以然。我猜想不外乎是名字、年歲、顔色、數字之類的一般常識吧？！

當我們坐電梯下樓的時候，剛好碰見那個interview她的老師，由於沒有心理準備，結果我沒有好好把握那大約1分鈡的時間向老師詢問。（老師只是說我的女兒比較大方、不害羞，然後電梯就到了，她便跟我們說再見了。）

我所看到的小朋友大多是便服，反而報考1年級以上的，就穿的比較整齊。

不用緊張，告訴孩子，你是帶他去玩的，而且在等候室裏面也有一些玩具，孩子可以一邊玩一邊等，當輪到他的時候，自會有人帶他去另一個房間。

我建議，你最好讓孩子跟孩子自己在那兒玩，這樣他會自自然然的投入進去（可能以爲回到了自己的幼兒園），也就暫時會把你給忘了。這樣，當有人來拉他的手帶他去另一個課室的時候，他會很自然的拿著當時手中正在玩耍的玩具，跟著一起去了。
