It is not difficult except the comprehension. But my girl also got very very low marks. She always make those stupid mistakes. I was so angry.

Careless is always the main problem of small children.  Those children that is careful will get high marks.
I always asked myself why my child is so careless but her school mates are not.  Even in dictation, comp, they make many many silly, careless mistakes.
But I think we have to bear with them because it is quite normal.
Luckily, in SMCS, marks in tests will not count.  Exam is coming, when you help you kids to study, put more emphasis on what they need to handle carefully and how they should double check their results.  This is my experience.

The quantity and quality of homework will be built up commencing from P4 / P5, especially in english subjects such as U.E., Reader, Geography & Science.  In normal circumstances, the kids should have at least 1 / 2 homework for Chinese, English & Mathematics respectively.  In addition to other subjects, its quantity will reach to approximate 5 / 6 daily.

So long as the kids are promoting from junior levels, they should adapt to the school culture and pressure.  I have not seen any girls who lodge complaints on the numerous homework.  Maybe those unqualified students have been persuaded to leave at their own accord.

Therefore, no need to worry about that.

Do you mind telling me how you can get 25 marks?  I can only count 20 marks (Myself being a graduate of St. Mary 10 marks + First-born child 5 marks + My daughter is a Catholic 5 marks).  I'm confused with the marks calculation.  Would you mind telling me about this.  Thanks a lot!

Basically even children that is within the age range got 10 marks.  On the other hand, the marks for first-born child (5) cannot be count together with the marks for old girls (10).  Therefore you will get 25 marks = basic marks (10) + old girls (10) + catholic (5).

Dear all parents,

I received lots of enquiry recently about the knocking door techniques to St. Mary. What I had done is to show my extremely very seriousness and tons of sincerity in this school. Don't give up even though the last minutes arrived. U can try Pr.2, Pr. 3 and so on......  當你孩子是一件產品，你會如何說服別人買此產品?別人今天不買，為了做成生意，隔了幾天再叫他買，再寄cataloge。對自己說，爭取便有50%機會，不爭取=”0”。

Since there are so much personal information in the letters, I am sorry I cannot give out. I don't want to disclose my girls' identity. I need to protect her in certain extend and keep as low profile as we can (though the school may already know who are we). As u know I get the seat via my uncountable hard working and god blessing. You are right.  Test is always easier and most of the questions are from text books.

In exam, there will be some out of text book questions, especially SC that will be one of the exam subjects starting from P2.

Be careful!

Before the exam/test, I always ask my daughter to memorize to me what she need to check:
- "s"
- ".", "?"
- count words...

I am so impressed that you all treat the test so serious even though the test result does not count.
