Nice to meet you all. My daughter is going to study K1A pm. I think i'm one of the 'quiet' SPK parents in BK.

I used to be a BK cd-rom, but hopefully, i would be more contributive like the senior parents samuellor, ChingChingFather & 翠鳥 etc. Thanks should be given to them for their valuable advice & tips.

約瑟校服係spk校服的主要供應商(今年兼售熊貓鞋),位於灣仔軒尼詩道官小的後街(譚臣道),一座舊樓的樓上(詳細地址請參閱校方有關熊貓鞋的通告).

星期六校服供應商會來學校比小朋友試校服兼提供現貨比你取回家,今次唔使專登上去約瑟,到買冬季校服時,你自然要識得去

有次我大女唔見左隻蝴蝶結,都係係果度補購.

Hi,

Nice to meet you all!  My daughter will attend K1 a.m. session in coming Sept.  I got some questions and see if anyone can help answer.  Thanks!

(1) Are there any textbooks or stationery to be distributed on the coming Saturday?

(2) Any note or checklist/material list (e.g. handkerchief, name labels) to be given by school on that day?  or we should wait until the briefing session for parents on Sept 1? it seems that we need to prepare lots of stuff, and I'm afraid of missing it out.

(3) Do you have any plan to let your child attend extra-curricular activities? e.g. dancing, phonics, PTH, music?  any ideas?

i don't know too much about 16 june, the follows are just my personal opinion.

1. i don't think we will get textbook and stationery as we have not pay for them, right ?

2. they are experienced teachers and school, i think spk will give us reminders, don't worry.

3. i don't arrange extra-curricular activities for my elder daughter before the end of her k1 school year.  i shall let my younger daughter follow what her sister did....for example swimming, phonics...etc in next summer.

I agree with most of you. If we have chosen SPK, we have to respect and trust the teaching staff there. No one forces us to choose SPK, right?

As a mother, I think that drilling in primary school is not necessary. Let them enjoy their kindergarten life as they are so young. So ... not to give them lots of pressure. You will scare them.

My monkey is now 3 years and 2 months old and she has not attended any ECA courses and I think that is fine.

One day, if I think it's time to have something fun to her and I can come across any courses which suit my monkey (venue of the tutorial school, type of the ECA...), I will let her join.

One of reasons that I choose SPK is I don't have to well-equip my monkey for any primary school, e.g. piano class, phonics class... so as to show them off in front of the teacher in the P1 interview and struggle for a place in he primary school.

Let them imagine, create, ask and play...
Don't worry! Our kids can learn better than we expect! They are smart!!!
