Hi HappyJolly,

I read from other thread that tmw will be General Studies & Math; Eng. on Mon & Chi. on Tue.  This time the result will be shown on the school report.  Add oil!

My son said the headmistress did the general studies paper with them today through broadcast while Ms. Suen guided them how to do.  He told me some of the questions like "What will you give your friends during X'mas?  Birthday card or X'mas card", "Which animal will swim in the water? (my son said the answer is duck)", "What kind of food helps us digest better?", "What kind of food causes cavity?".  Just wonder if that's a revision only.  If so, that's really a very serious revision.

Actually my son said there was "mental" also but what he told me was all about "general studies".  This morning I tried to review Maths with my son (his weakest subject) and found that he always makes mistakes on comparing "smallest" & "biggest" numbers.  Hope that he can have a clear mind today when doing the Maths assessment.

My son was very happy to have 1 night off (no homework) yesterday.  I let him play & watch TV yesterday night & this morning.  Of course I'd reminded him that everything will return to normal today.

He told me that they needed to finish 7 pages of assessment paper (Eng & Math).  Yet, he said there were just 3 pages for Chi and 1 more page for drawing pictures like 天空.  He also said they needed to answer opposite word which had not been learnt b4, e.g. 日﹣月.

They had a relaxing school day yesterday after the assessment, watching TV and doing art & craft.  Ms. Lee treated them some snacks too.  I think they'll have new seating arrangement soon (my son said they haven't yet changes seats).

2nd term will be coming after CNY holiday and we should be even busier then.

My son said they have a new seating arrangement today.  He's in Moon Group now with Fung Yin, Chan Wing Tung, Bosco, Rupert etc.  He said Max, Christina, Lee Tze Him, Macros etc. are in Sun Group while Liu Wah Yan, Felix, Ethan etc. are in Star Group.
It's quite surprised that they just had English homework today.

They'd learnt -4 and review -1, -2, -3 for Numbers.

Yes, same in 2B, after the assessment, my girl told me they watched baby first and Bod the builder, but she couldn't recall what she did in her assessment...

at least between now and Chinese New Year holiday, they should have an easy schedule (I hope)

A new English recitation called "See the Ducklings":

See the ducklings,
swimming here & there.
Head in the water,
tail in the air.

After a relaxing week, they'd mental again today.

They'd finished 「好吃的食物」and got a new story book today (up to p.9 was taught already).

They'd learnt the sentence "What's your father's name?" and each of them took turns to give their own answers.

On the back of the English Star Book, they were asked to write "I am a boy/girl" according to their own sex.

Just found out that Ms. Lee will teach them an English sentence for every word they write, e.g. I am a boy/girl; father is a man; I put the books in the school bag etc..  Also, they need to recite the English sentences on the Star Book during lesson, e.g. o-n-e, one, o-n-e, one, I have one nose; t-w-o two, t-w-o two, I have 2 eyes etc..  I think that helps the kids to memorize the word spelling and its application easily.

My son told me that they played a game during the music lesson with K2A.  Ms. Fong hit the tambourine in different beat and they were asked to run or stop accordingly.  It's funny that my son said they couldn't even blink if they were asked to stop, haha!!

Also my son asked me to do the 浮沈實驗 with him at home as described in their new Chinese story book.  I supposed that should be done during their science lesson but my son said Ms. Suen had just demonstrated by putting one thing (he couldn't tell me what exactly) into the water.

今日送阿仔番學見到Miss Lee，同佢講開阿仔最近有兩次喺學校寫嘅中文字無咁靚，Miss Lee話其實佢哋而家寫Ｄ中文字真係難寫咗，筆順又複雜咗。咁我順便問吓Miss Lee佢哋幾時要學寫自己嘅中文名，Miss Lee話K2下學期接近尾聲會教吓佢哋寫自己嘅中文名，不過要到K3先至正式要求佢哋寫自己嘅中文名。

My girl always asked me to write the 1st and 2nd word character for her, and then she wrote the 3rd one herself now.
