Hi Pak Yin mami,

Really understood your feeling about Pak Yin's eating problem.  Kids can influence other kids on their behaviours.  When Chris eats with my niece, both of them can eat well and fast.  Did Pak Yin try to take meal with his good friends and how was it?  Will he eat more and faster?  

Kids are clever, they can figure out eating is one thing they can control their parents.  Don't make the mealtime as a battle, take a deep breath, draw them into the conversation, keep pleasant.  I also tried to get Chris involved in making food, for example, a toast, jelly, dip white bread with milk...  or decide together what you are going to eat, let your son pick what he wants.  It works for Chris and he enjoyed it very much.  Remember, let eat with him and ask him to share a bite with you...he will treasure the food and wants to eat it all.  

If he lost appetite, let try to give him a piece of cheese or yogurt...they are far better than other junk food.

Relax....let them know eating is interesting.

Pak Yin has been to YMCA playgroup?  Which class were Pak Yin in? Adrian had been studying the PG from 1. 5 yrs old to 2.5 yrs old. He was in Dinosaurs with Ms Annie.  The school is indeed very good. Don't you think so? 

Pls don't worry too much about the eating problem. Maybe the less you care, the more Pak Yin will eat. If you can't come up with any solution, just relax la...

I saw Preston this morning. I called him 'Preston' but he didn't respond because Miss So asked him to go to the bathroom. He is quite tall. How tall is he?

Adrian is also sleeping alone in his bedroom. Sometimes, he cries in the middle of the nite (because of running nose or growing pains in  his legs). We close our doors too. I can hear him because we use the baby monitors. Same as you, i wake up a few times per nite which makes me very hot-tempered the following day. Nevertheless, i discovered that ever since he has been in KV, he doesn't cry as much as before. He is very tired every nite and doesn't bother to  扭計 at all.

I agree! the new tvb program is very appealing. That's why i bought a VCR because I don't want to miss any favourite programmes.

1) FYI, Miss So said it's ok to wear Halloween costume at the party next friday. I'll dress Adrian in his pumpkin costume.

2) Is there any mommy who is available in the mornings? We could have breakfast and chitchat. In fact, I just had breakfast with a K1A mommy yesterday. Please let me know if anyone is interested.

Usually Preston loves to talk with ppl...haha...i wonder how come he is so concentrated...maybe the instruction is from Ms So..
Preston is 1.07m now...yes he is tall because he loves eating cheez..and also daddy is very tall too.

I knew a girl from Preston's old school...she also screamed and cried a lot ..her mom sent her to a EQ class.  But now as she grows...her temper is much better.  i do not know if she grew out of it or the EQ class worked.  I saw her mom just ignored her if she kept non-stop crying .    However, the strange thing is that the teachers never knew her moody temper....because she is a very smart and good behaved girl in school.  And also she got accepted to all kindergartens that her mom applied. ...

Ha...i think Preston enjoys being a "big brother" to protect a gal...hahaha.....And he always asks me when he could have a little sister....I told him if he has a little sister, mom got no $$ to buy milk and toys...he said he could share his...but when i said i got no $$ to buy more chocolate....he replied me little sister likes strawberry     ..then i continued.how about sharing his chocolate...he did not want to answer me anymore

thanks for your advice, will try next time but seem hard to take back all her toys as i am not at home day time..when Tung Tung crazy, only i can control her right now, my maid cant, so maybe try this way during weekend...haha

oh!! then, will think think what's special dress for Tung Tung during halloween. but just wonder whether need to wear the clothes which she still can go to toilet by herself? do u know whether teacher or "shum shum" can help them to go toilet? as if she doesnt how to take off the jeans.....

Pak Yin has taken three courses at Toddler's World from YMCA.  When he is not reached 2 and a half years old, we are in Koala Group with Ms Vinni and Ms Heena.  After 2.5 years old, we are in Flamingo Group with Ms Renu & Ms Susan.  Final, we are in Crocodile Group with Ms Lisha and Ms Reshma.  Yes, I agreed it is a good place and Pak Yin love to go to school.

I am available in the morning, please let me know if we could have breakfast and chitchat?  Pak Yin will get on the private mini van at 8:15a.m.
from Kwai Chung.  Therefore I may available at Kowloon Tong at 9:00a.m.

Regarding Pak Yin' eating habit, may be I really have to relax.  I agree that children can influence other kids on their behaviours but we don't have other child.  We only met our cousin one time a week during Sunday.  Moreover, their age is 12 years old and 9 years.  It is not easy for them to play together.  On the other hand, my husband always work very late and can't have dinner with us together.  It is the other reason that I have to face the problem by myself.

Regarding sleeping, Pak Yin also cannot sleep by himself.  I have to sit on his bed and wait until he slept.  But when he wake up and find I am not here, he will come to my room and I need to sleep with him on his bed at the end.  We can't sleep together with my husband although our bed is kingsize.  I have explained to Pak Yin, he has to sleep by himself but no use.  Since I don't want him to wake up my husband, I have to sleep with Pak Yin at the end.

even i m not a full time mami but i still feel stress when i m facing Tungtung. it's a hard "job" to take care children. so, i fully understand how pressure u a facing as a full time mami...you should relax yrself and talk with other ...otherwise, really become crazy.....

i met miss so yesterday...she really nice...
she told me TungTung is good, she can answer the question loudly. she must give "reaction" to them..however, i told her, she will always angry at home and not willing to eat.....miss so said, she will try to talk to Tungtung later why she always angry at home...haha

btw, Ttungtung just start to drink milk 2 times per day..as always hear from other, drink too much milk is no good...however, when we went to see doctor today as Tungtung got running nose...The Doctor said no impact to drink more milk a day, just up to the children if they like.....

after change to drink 2 times per day, i found Tungtung's weight is no change recently.....
but i dont want to change again...as it's so hard to convince her gave-up the afternoon milk...dont want to change it back....

Adrian joined the toddler's world when he was 1 yr 4 mo. Ms Reshma was his teacher (Seal group). She was a very loving teacher which made me stay at the toddler's world for another year. Adrian joined the Bunny group and Dinosaur group respectively. Ms Annie was his classteacher then.  I recommended some of my fds to study the same course and they all said the playgroup is very value-for-money! Yet, we didn't attend the 5-day class as we enrolled to a PN last yr.

YMCA's toddler's world is quite famous for their english playgroups. The teachers are mostly Indians. Most of them are very experienced. They got a lot of activities for each team, which include school picnic and team-end party. Adrian had a lot of fun there!!!

According to my son, ' 豆豆'  is a doll who walks around during snack time. Adrian said  豆豆 always said ' 食快D啦'  to him.

Wow! Preston is 107cm!!! He's very tall!!! Adrian also eats cheese everyday but he's 10 cm shorter than Preston! Must be the genes!!!  
Well, as you said, a stay-home mom is very stressful. Unfortuantely, few ppl realise the hardship of the job. Many of my friends think I am very  'tai-till'. they don't even know i 'spill out blood' everyday!!! I agree that stay-home mom is usually on the verge of nervous breakdown. I can't help yelling at adrian when he's not listening to me.

Good morning parents!

We've met Miss So last Sat. She's really nice and sensitive to the kids. Miss So's comment for Him Him is good so far, only that he always needs the attention from the teachers and his concentration is not long enough. She's suggested us a few ways to help improve his concentration. I think the meeting is very fruitful and constructive.

I've mentioned to her that Him Him seldoms told us what to bring to school or any homework needs to be finished. Her comment is that Him Him is comparatively small in class and we have to give me more chances to try and we will realize his ability. The most important ones is we need to give more encouragement and praise him whenever he can do according to the instruction.

Last Friday, we have a homework to do by filling the colors for the leaves. Miss So asked me if Him Him's told him which color to be filled in. I said I didn't ask him and just let me choose the colors by himself. Then, it ends up that he filled in one in green and one in yellow. And Miss So said he's correct. He's done the good job by following her instruction! I really feel surprised and happy 'cos He's really understood and remembered Miss So's instruction, but maybe sometimes when home, he's other things to do that he may forget to tell us things at school. I guess we gotta give him more encouragement and talk to him more on this school life in order to refresh his memory!
