o向佐敦Austin Road, 德信學校斜對面有一間專賣Cambridge和教科書的書店 (閣樓), 裡面都有oxford reading tree, 仲有好多教幼稚園的書呀.

Just want to check whether the books are "Oxford Reading Tree" or "Oxford Stories Tree" as the original price seems cheap.  The original price for Oxford Reading Tree is about $70 per book.

"Oxford Reading Tree" is published in UK whilst "Oxford Stories Tree" is published in Hong Kong.  Actually the stories are almost same but have a bit different in Characters.  .

Thanks for your advice.

As this is part of my boy's textbooks which to be used at school next term, I need to buy a set for him.  The new one is very expensive, it costs about $70+ a book.

Dear all,

Oxford Reading Tree is a well-written set of books, but a friendly reminder to all mums and dads, children need to be engaged in both independent reading and guided reading.

Independent reading is when the child reads by himself/herself.  Make sure you provide a variety of book for your child to choose from and do not stop your child from reading the same book over and over again.

Guided reading is when you read with your child.  Give your child a limited choice of books, you may want to pick two to three books, slightly above your child's level of reading, and guide your child in reading.

Choosing a good series of books is important, but guiding your child to read is what really counts in developing their reading skills.
