Re: Any Reservations on International Schools?

It is true that the six teaching staff of the CIS kindergarten do not possess "幼兒教育證書(相當於副學士)及及格幼師資歷"

all of them are DEGREE HOLDERS and possess "Other Teacher Training" qualifications.

Hi everybody,
Do you think financial factor is also a reservation on international schools?
Some parents prefer to spend high tuition fee so that their children have a happy school life in IS.
I understand that parents love their children so much and thus want to give them the best education.
However, the school fees of IS (e.g. ESF schools and others) are increasing and it seems to be on the track to go up in the coming years.
To have a rational choice, a parent may send a child to a quality subsidized school (a local school). Thus the education there is free. The saved amount (e.g. about $5000-$10000/month for one child) can be used in other "useful and meaning ways" for the child, for example, employ the best private teachers to teach him/her English and Mandarin, participate in many cultural activities (e.g. concert, performance), travel to various countries frequently to widen his/her scope, order many books and join many more other wholesome but costly activities.
We know that some parents with two kids in IS need to spend more than $10000 per month for tuition fee. How are the effects if they spend this huge amount for the above mentioned acitivites. Will a kid staying in a local school, instead of going to IS, have the same or even better development in this way? What you think?

Dear christf,
Any ideas about the proposed questions?
