I think children nowadays have more structured activities than what is good for them. Parents somehow are anxious to fill up children's schedule to full and have a feeling of failing their parental responsibilities if they don't do so. Striving for better and better academic results seems to be the motto; and good is never good enough. Where shall we stop?

We have come to the point where we have forgotten the pleasure of free time and the benefits of free play to our children. Take your child to see the movie "Blood Diamond" (if it's still on) and let her appreciate the story behind dazzling jewelries. This is also education, far more valuable than doing pages of mathematical problems!
