2. What school did the K3 students go? Good or bad?

The parents of this school seldom talk about the turnover rate of the teachers.  I don't know the real picture.

For the P1 allocation, it's good.  I know some of them go to famous schools in both Kowloon and Hong Kong side.  In K3, they would have some sort of interview training for the kids.

For ECAs, they have violin training for all!

Hi All,

Any parents want to change from pm session to am session in K1?  Have you received any response from HKPS right now?

For the one who still not yet make up your mind, how many schools would you pay for the first month school fee?  I should pay for Victoria in May but still stuggling to see if I need to pay or not! It's really expensive!  What do you think?  My mother-in-law opposes strongly to put my son to study at pm session!       

It makes me in a hardship again!

not yet ar!  still waiting but my bubby likes this school too, so he will speak to his mom and she would be back to Canada next year.

oh, i haven't heard from hkps neither.... but i most likely will decide on another kg! sigh!!  but we can still share our kids' experiences..... :)

Is the news really? What is your defination of band 1? Public or DSS or private primary? I am now also struggling to let my girl to study St. Cat, Hkps and KM.

Anglo/Chinese in HKPS? (just want to double confirm if my understanding is correct)

do the student require to change shoes when getting in school? What is the Hygiene standard in HKPS? Is it ok?

hi Danduscc and everybody,

my daugther got accepted for the coming N1 too (Anglo Chinese).  how about yr daugther? Anglo Chinese or Intl?  My perference is intl class.  I'm thinking of sending a letter to HKPS.  do u think it is work?  it seems the competition is very keen this year.  

anyway, my daugther gets another offer from KM and my hubby and I are still strugging to choose from these two.   any advice would be much thankful?

Anglo Chinese--two teachers in the classroom, one speaks cantonese and the other is NET, but also has Mandarin lesson, 15-20 mins (everyday? Not Sure)

Int'l Class--two teachers in the classroom, one speaks Mandarin and the other is NET

At this stage, int'l class is not a must since we don't speak any mandarin at home!  But learning good & interesting chinese is much more important!

Wow, so many parents are struggling between KM and HKPS!  Why do you apply these two KGs?  Both KGs are good.  Don't worry! :wink:

yes my girl got accepted in the HKPS Anglo Chinese am class and KM am class. I am also stuggling about which one to choose.

Any advice?

What is the Hygiene standard in HKPS and KM? which one is doing better?

i've no idea about their hygience standard.  but i think km is more organized.  my friend's baby just switched from km to creative.  he's not satisfly with the overall arrangement.  i will try to find out more details about km from him.  

for hkps, i just went there for interview and didn't have a chance to visit the school.  as my first impression, there are more native english and mandarin teachers.  my friend's son is now studying at hkps and she told me that hkps prefers kids that can take care themselves and spend little time and focus on others that cannot.  also, boy has advantage to study there.   

i heard from other source that the ratio of boy student is comparative high in km and hkps; and the teacher in km told me that the no. of girl student is increasing these years.
  
btw, have u applied other nursery for yr girl?

NET means the Native/English/Teacher.
Would you visit both KGs again?  (in order to know more about these two KGs)

As I know, no need to changing shoes in HKPS.  For this hygiene policy, only implemented in Victoria, HMT and Learning Habitat.
Also in KM?  I'm not sure.
