Can anyone shares why pick the internationl school ?

chirstf has mentioned a good point that parents targeting IS should pay speical attention : differences between the REAL IS kindergarten and so-called IS sections in local schools.
My personal experience is that 50% English environment in local schools (e.g. Victoria and St. Catherine) is not enough. Maybe they have very good reputations/faciliities amongst parents. Don't expect English will be good enough to meet IS requirement.
My daughter is now immersing in 150% English and 50% Chinese but i am still worried about her fluency in English when she grows up.

Seems you like IS's education style.  My kid is also study at IS G. 1.  

My worries is when the kid study at IS.  May be (i'm not sure), they will not learn the normal education like local school did.  Such as moral or some traditional Chinese characters - care of others, don't be selfish, be good to the parents etc.  As per my observation, the teacher at IS did not teach them and also did not have the assembly or other subject will teach them.

do you have the passing rate of Kowloon side ESF kindergarten to ESF primary?   I'm wondering what other choices are if my kid is not admitted to ESF primary as other un-subsidized IS are far more expensive than ESF.
