I have the same problem also, applied the AM class but was allocated to the PM class. I phoned to the school yesterday, they answered ( not in the same wording but implied that) my child is not as good as the others to be put into a AM class. :cry:

I am also choosing between KV & PLK as well, but I have decided to go for PLK cos I like the Eng environment there. Also KV has too many students (600+), so I really have some doubt about whether all KV students can get into famous primary schools. Of course there are many cases (out of the 600+) of KV students going on to famous primary schools, but that's probably just a number game.

Besides, I think I would like the teaching style of PLK better than KV (too traditional and maybe outdated).

Hi carolklbb,

Just received the acceptance letter from PLK and my girl was accepted to AM session.

The date of registration is so early, on Dec 6, and registration fee is $500.

My girl was also accepted by KV AM session, but I am still waiting for the result from SC.  Wish that the SC result will be released by then.

Dear all:

見到這 topic , 我覺可以跟大家分享少許經驗, 因我的小朋友大的一位是讀PLKTAYSF;小的一位讀Kentville.
PLKTAYSF的英文環境肯定較Kentville強, 所以我大的小朋友英文閱讀及說話能力較小的強.
Kentville的中文則較PLKTAYSF強, 有些K.2的中文我大的小朋友都不懂, 中文配詞能力亦不及Kentville.
紀律訓練方面則Kentville較好; PLKTAYSF則較鬆(當然班中應有的紀律都有的,不是天下大亂那種)
至於考小學方面, 我只能說 PLKTAYSF 的小朋友也不差, 我的小朋友考了六間, 五間收了(包括 TSL SFA),一間 waiting,
至於Kentville 如何我未知, 因未到我小的小朋友考. :wink:

至於收了讀下午班的家長不用太擔心, 我的小朋友都是讀下午班. 其實下午班都不錯, 小朋友睡足一點, 夠精神上課, 有時候早上我會安排大的去學畫, 學其他東西, 之後吃飯再上學, 時間都好用的.

Not sure! But I will pay the registration fee for both schools...Hope I can take more time for serious consideration...

雖然英文沒有St.Cat.的好, 但PLKTAYSF正是處于Kenville和St.Cat.的之間
PLKTAYSF英文環境, 英文數學, 只是中文較遜色, 而學費方面很吸引, 少付的學費還可給小朋友上多一點興趣班, 另外, 學生少一點, 老師可多點關心小朋友
最後, 當然是問問自巳想仔仔女女入讀哪一間小學, 如私家, 首選St.Cat.和Kenville;但PLKTAYSF上馬頭涌和油天的機會也很大呢(除陳守仁外)?

我相信你的小朋友一定很outstanding (或是大仔大女), 也是個別例子.

因為我的小朋友也就讀於PLKTAYS K3, 但本人覺得此校的水準不及以前, 尤其今年k3也放鬆了很多, 不知是否因為轉了校長的關係, 我都擔心佢上小學跟唔上!!
我的小朋友今年考了數間直資及私小, 全部落空, 而家等大抽獎!!!!
他同班的同學有很多都考了4-5間以上,但只有1-2間不是太好的學校收左, 而家都等緊大抽獎!!

如果比我再揀, 我就會揀根德園 or St Catherine, 起碼考到好小學的機會大D!!

我interview個日同屋企附近的另一個女孩一齊interview, 佢大我的兒子兩個月(我仔是11/04bb), 佢又唔答老師的問題, 而且後尾仲喊添，但都收左佢讀pm班    我唔係話我個仔好叻, 但起碼佢有答老師的問題呀, 所以尋日收到信之後, 真係有d唔開心  :cry:

學校話12/12前會再通知喎, 你地話我好唔好去問下是否因為我話要讀am班, 所以係waiting list?

我的小朋友不是很outstanding , 可以講係中上啦!,她也不是大女.
其實在面試前我都有花心思跟女兒練習(模擬面試), 考SFA前
也有做 paper. 據我知小女同班同學也有六位考上TSL, 所以我覺得 TAYSF 不錯.
等大抽獎真的很令人憂心, 祝你的小朋友抽到好學校!
