Hi gobabygo,

I mentioned somewhere in other column, as well mentioned by some other parents.  SKH teachers don't really pamper the childs (maybe they will at the beginning few days/weeks, but not later).  But that doesn't mean they are not caring.  In fact they are observing the kids from aside, they get to know their characters very soon.  They will then use different approach to help them getting more independent appropriately.

I took the initiative to talk with them and they appreciated very much that I was helping them to get to know my son more.  Later they also use email to update me the progress of my son at school.  

This is just my personal observation/opinion, I'm not sure other SKH parents feel the same.

But I must admit that at first I felt so uneasy and wanted to change kindy for my son, as I kept comparing to his previous nusery.  However I'm glad I didn't, as my son really loves to go to SKH.  And I also talked a lot of K2 parents and they just love this kindy from heart.

Thanks Andrea. I believe a good KG is not only strong academically, but also caring for the development of each single kid...I mean no prejudice and loving. I hope that my son can make a smooth transition from Canaan to SKH.

Daisy, I saw that your child has been accepted by Mt. Butler?  Same for my son and I will go pay the registration fee tomorrow.  Will you send your child to this school?

My son is accepted to Central SKH's pm class. Does any one of you go to Central too?

I am actually considering to put my son into Vic if he's accepted because that's only kinde that he says he likes and wants to go again after the interview.

We went to SKH, Ling Liang Church and Victoria for interviews. Anyone applied for the same kindes?

My son Ryan applied exactly the 3 same kindes, got accepted by both SKH and LLC AM class.
Most likely will stay at SKH.

My son is accepted by SKH pm class and LLC am class. We are waiting for the result from Victoria, which should be sent to us before 01/12.

If accepted by all 3, I think I'd put my son in to SKH. How about you?

As my boss at home ( wife ) doing all the research and conclude on her finding.  I did most of the talking during the interview. ( I am sales   : ).  Most likely we will only choose between SKH and LLC as we are Christiian Family.

That's very nice for you to have somebody to do the research. My husband and I are clueless. We just applied those 3 kindys because we heard they are good. But good in what ways? We're not too sure. But with all the positive comments from SKH's aprents that I read from BK, I think it has to be good.

However, based on what I saw during the interviews, I actually had the best feelings about LLC. You can tell that the teachers and the principal are very kind and patient, and they really care about the children. My colleague's son went to this kindy and is now studying at Raimondi. Both she and her son liked this kindy very much. And it has a very nice and lively campus. If it was closer to where I live, I might choose it over SKH.

Hi bbone,

My sister is a teacher on the Island side, and she is the most souce of our info.  She said both kindys are good.  So, the choice can purely base on our perception.
I do believe that pick of the kindy might be importatnt in some sense, but not crucial.
Some kids do need a bit more time to run in ( like car  : )
