其實你所講既說話我之前想講好耐，不過怕得罪人唔敢講。
我覺得如果好大機會唔會讀果間學校，就唔好Hold住個位，不如留返比其他人喇！

for my case, 4 reserved = 400 + 980 +2000 +300 total paid only 3680 as insurance so far. and still waiting for one more result. If OK, just treat as donation to school as they are all religion school. BTY, my friend paid almost $4000 to reserve Truelight last year and droped eventually, so he said it's too cheap for me to hold 4 schools.

I'm not arriviste nor rich, just like normal middle-level guys with houses, car, good job. I'm very very poor when I was child and study very hard to become a professional now. So, I hope I can give the best to my child. What's wrong!

Unlucky, those DSS accepted at different time slot, so I paid and paid to reserve the best  one since the latecomer surpass the formers. The best school always announce the result at late, the new school will take in the pupil as earliest as possible.

Dear jonmkchan,

Please make up you mind between 暴發戶 and 暴發戶心態. Some parents are concerning about registration fee of $2000 in other topic. How come you emphasized it is cheap for you ??

Besides, I think it's reasonable for holding 1-2 schools on hand. Are you going to release the rest to others. Trust me, your kid(s) will proud of you if you inform the School Admin. right now.

I agree with STAR1. Hold 住 1-2間好正常, 係人都想幫自己仔女搵間最好既. 既然jonmkchan你都話之後accept你囡囡既學校比之前d好, 咁你咪release番之前0個d出黎囉.......hold住1-2間再慢慢諗囉!!

其他waiting緊既小朋友同家長好慘架~~~ hold住咁多仲咩呢, 你囡囡最尾都只係讀一間啫!!

我地出聲果幾位家長，其實並唔係受害者，但我地真係睇唔過眼！

既然你都唔心儀Ex, LHX, 咁點解唔放返呢D位出嚟呢！

Absolutely agreed.  Most parents are waiting everyday at the DSS schools for a chance to meet the principals for their children.  We should NOT hold the seats.  When I was only holding two seats (15/16) during the two weeks before I made the decisions (a v. difficult task) I felt painful and guilty.  After I have informed the school I gave up, I am released.  You don't need it but many parents are waiting for it.  It is a painful time for them. Be considerate, develop a good model to your child.  

I also know that many parents have made complaints to the School Places Allocation Section (SPAS) of this problems.  It is the weakness of the school places allocating system and SPAS is considering to make a fair control system.

I think we should make decision after getting acceptance of schools & release others seat ASAP. It's meaningless for holding many seats for a long period.

agreed agreed!  I think making a choice between 2 schools is tough, making it between 4 or 5 will be crazy!  So if there is already a ranking we should be considerate enough to release those who are at the bottom of our list.   Many of these can be the top ones for others and i can tell how anxious these parents can be!
