Most people came out after about 15 to 30 mins. We came out after around 15 mins.
The principal is very kind and nice.

She will definitely not admit me. I'm too old.
Whether she will admit my son, I am not sure.

Agree, ed-dunc do have a good sense of humor.  

I've been worrying since I left the principal's room.  She said twice that my girl was too young during the interview, sigh!

I fully understand your worry.

For those of us who have no relationship with the school, the chance of success is only 3% (I heard there were more than 1000 B applicants among which only 30 odds will be admitted). Therefore, I have always prepared myself for the worse.

It's true from what I heard that the school prefers older children. I have a colleague who is an alumnus of the school and whose elder son is also studying in the school. His younger son got rejected in the first attempt because his son was considered too young (born in ?October). However, the boy was admitted when they tried again one year later.

So, never give up.

BTW, just checking, what did Ms Lee say to you at the end of the interview? Did she tell you when the result wiould be known?

Do you mind to share was the whole interview just a briefing of the school made by Ms Lee?  Other than a little chat with the parents, were there any questions or any thing for the kid to do?

More or less.

Conversation started with a simple question to the parents. Then Ms Lee did most of the talking. I just acted as a keen listener with occasional "responses" to what she said.

My son was asked to sit next to her. No question directed to him whatsoever.

According to Ms. Lee, the result will be announced on 20 November. However, I suspect successful candidates will be informed soon after 6 November.

Heard that the Headmistress will obs the kid while talking to the parents.

Well, don't be so worried.
She was looking at me during almost the whole interview. I could see what my son was doing but she couldn't unless there was a videocam.

Ms. Lee asked my daughter to sit besides her and read the story books. The interview took about 20 mins and most of the time, she introduced the school.

At last, when we thought the interview was finished and it's time to leave the room, she suddenly turned to my daughter and asked her two questions.
1. Does you want to study in this school?
2. Will you miss your schoolmates?     My daughter felt too sudden and said nothing.

Sounded like some sort of hints. Did she tell you when you would receive the result and so on?
