是嗎?

我其實最想將來囡囡入讀的小學校風好, 讀書氣氛良好及老師有愛心, 唔想有太大讀書壓力. 我認為學校最重要是培養學生的品格, 如果品格唔好成績幾出眾都係無用.
在這裏詢問過後, 我覺得此校很符合我的要求.

想請問今年有多少學生派Band 1 中學? 見學校網站上只公開中學校名, 但沒有提及% or 人數. 咁即係有多少Band 1 學生呢?

少人揀是因為那時政府未confirm地起新舍,全日制遙遙無期，普遍家長都覺得下午班時間不好用。

anyway,我亦是舊生，還移民多年，回來以後問過不少人的意見,亦在校門看過小朋友放學，感覺良好。當時我亦不想小朋友太辛苦，但亦希望學校注重品德培養。我覺得這校符合我的要求。

請問學校會否舉辦open day? 平時要返工, +上住新界, 沒可能平日到校觀察呢.

I am not sure if they will have open day.  I suggest you to call the principal.  They will have P.1 orientation on these few days and should have parents' briefing session.  You can check with him to see if you can have a look or join in the briefing.

如報華德, 我諗我要睇定樓, 我唔想個囡長途拔涉地返學, 只怪自己當初冇留意到小學計分, 與及校網等問題, 早知那時應選九龍城區的物業.
請問妳住那裏? 小朋友要坐校車嗎?
學校附近好像沒有住宅似的

I live in Mei Foo.  My kids take the 保姆車.  It goes to Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi as well.  There are other 保姆車 which go to other NT areas.  Some of them take highways so the travelling time may be shorter than we expect.  So, in which area do you live?

我住屯門, 就算搭保姆車, 車程好遠呀, 返到學校都無心機上課啦.

Tuen Mun is really a bit far away.  It would be a good idea to move.  But I am not familiar with Kowloon City.  It seems that there aren't much private estates, mainly single blocks.  How about Wong Tai Sin or Diamond Hill.....

Did similar case happen before?  Hope that will not happen to the school.  The principal has shown us the sketch and the plan of the new school building.  Anyway if that really happens, I still don't have any regret as the software is more important than hardware.

下午校p3及p2都只有2班,新學年的p1更可能只有1班,怎撐到轉全日制呢?
近來,不少好老師因察覺到前途不明朗已轉到其他學校任教呢!我的朋友便是其中一個

Just a few points to clarify.

My sons were in P1 and P3.  They had three classes of P1 and had 22 pupils in his class.  For P3, my boy's class had 27 pupils and there were four classes.

During the prize presentation ceremony held at the end of the school year in June, they had announced that a teacher would leave so as the vice principal who would retire.

我都未plan, 當初就因供樓太吃力先由九龍搬入屯門, 同近我屋企有照應睇BB, 沒想到將來校網的問題.
如再搬出九龍就買唔起樓, 可能要租樓住, 跟現在的居住環境相距一定很遠.

I see.  I am not sure the rent level in the Kowloon City and nearby districts.  But in Mei Foo, the rent goes up quite a lot recently.

Can understand your situation and concern.  Perhaps contact and visit the school and see if it is justified to move.

My son is studing P.1.  He is having a one-week P.1 orientation.  I visited the school on Monday and the feeling is quite good.  The school organised quite a lot of extra activities for the students including sports and music.  My son joined the cello class.

He likes the school very much.  He has the homework to do on the first day of orientation but the homework is not too difficult to finish.

The school confirmed that they will moved to the new campus which is just opposite (near) of the old school.  And the new school is the main reason that I choose P.M. class for my son.

On the other hand, this year, the teacher said they will teach the student 1 term faster for English and Mathematics.  Which means that my son need to finish P.2 first term books at the end of the P.1.  I think the principal is quite aggressive as he is a new pricipal in BW.

The other reason that I choose this school is they teach Chinese lesson in Putonghua which the students may improve their composition and writing and their Putonghua will be more advance too.

Do agree with you that Principal Wong is more aggressive than the previous one.  Though they intend to proceed faster with the curriculum, that still depends on how the kids perform.  Like my little boy, only part of P2A Math textbook was covered in the second term of P1.  So it doesn't mean they will rush rush rush.

Who is your kid's class teacher?  Their P1 class teachers are very nice and take well care of the kids.
