My son still a little baby. I just for the well prepare about the primary school. I think st jo is too hard for study. It is so poor for the kid under the model of education in Hk. So, I hope to choose the less hard school for him. Wah yan is good choice  and the high % to the Wah Yan secondary school . So I also want the % or ratio to the Good secondary school form Henessary primary school.Pl share. I think you must very hard to prep and study for your 3 honey. Sometimes, I look at him and enjoy the no pressure no studies time .

Hello! How're you??  I think "St. James Settlement" is a good school, if your elder son is studing in St. James Settlement, so I think you better choose "St. James Settlement", because no marks for younger son, if your younger son compare with the other kids, I'm afraid it is very difficult for him to go to Wah Yan for the first round.

I really want to know more about St. James Settlement, because I know this school is quite good, most of the subjects are above the standard.  Is that right?

Actually, Wah Yan is not very difficult, I think they chose the students from the famous kindergarten.  Because my son studied in 寶山。

Hi! I think Wah Yan & Henessey are the first choice.  Because the students are very happy and no pressure.  Henessey is also very good, because more opportunities go to famous Secondary School. And Wah Yan D 家長比較有錢&白鴿眼,不過,都唔夠St. Joseph果班阿太,好彩細細仔係坐校車,HenesseyD家長比較平民,但是,課本各方面,都不是太難,可能是官校,跟足教統局,所以,if you don't have time to take care of your son, then, you may choose Henessey & Wah Yan.  

On the other hand, if you have money and time (I mean you are a full-time housewife) 24 hours stand-by果隻,then, you can choose St. Joseph,because St. Joseph D mother is not working, is a full-time housewife, and most of them have private tutor.

聽你講完我又心大心細tim. 你都認為'聖公會聖雅閣小學'好嗎 ? 以學校所給予的資料顯示...全級有1半多d人數可入讀英中, 而我覺得佢地的教學比以前係深左, 因今年的中英都都轉左課本, 而我大仔5年級, 相對做的功課都比之前的多左, 咁吾知算算standard了.
聽你的見解, 如我第一round選'華仁'的機會吾大, 佢地係未會見阿哥吾係讀'華仁', 所以少d chance呢 ? 而你話'華仁'd家長好白鴿眼.....我都吾likely啦. 咁選'hennessy'又點樣呢 ?????  哎呀.....都吾知點好tim.
如果你係我, 你會點選呀 ?

My son already applied for St. Joseph for P1 for the coming year 2007.看見每一位mummy 對各間學校評語好壞參半,所以,都唔知自己有冇選錯小學,真係唔開心.下星期一放榜,心情好緊張.

請問,St.Joseph的校風是否ok,功課很難嗎,多唔多?
是否用英語教授in P3 for Maths and other subject?

你個仔入到未呀?  入到就恭喜你,但你要有心理準備,St. Joseph是一間好Primary School, but every kids should studying very very hard.  If you are a working mother, I don't think you can handle it. (except your son is 自動波&天資極高),你可以參考入學天書,then you will know more about this school.  

Most of the mother said the homework is difficult and many homework, sometimes, I help him to finish his homework, because too many, I don't think my son can do the homework by himself, it is so difficult.  And I know,some of his classmates, spent whole night to do the homework until midnight.  (So, you must watch him to do the homework.... like me, I have long long time..... cannot watching TV.......! )

P.1 is teaching Mathematics in English.  All subjects are in English except Chinese, 常識。

我首選也是華仁, 但華仁的收生人數上下午各37人,而聖若瑟下午就有148人好像機會大一點,所以我又想改選聖若瑟.不知你有何意見? 還有請問聖若瑟上午是不是私校部?如果不是,聖若瑟和華仁過陣子會不會轉全日制?p1各有多少班?到升中學又剩多少班? 請愿諒我這個問題媽媽這麼嘮叨

很多謝你,你真是一位很好的媽媽,very nice and helpful,and always share with us.真是非常難得,真的很高興認識你.心裏面感覺很warm (honestly).

My son was failed in this 1st round application, then, we will try to apply the 2nd round. So, in this moment, the only thing that I can do, prepare the CV and academic certificate and reference letter to the school (for knocking the door).

Also, my  son will going to change to another kindergarten, because my son was studying in Victoxx, and they are seldom of Chinese writing and sentences. I am afraid that my son cannot manage the chinese subject when he go to the P.1. thus, I have such action. (因為,尚有7個月時間,希望可以早點習慣多做功課和match小1學程).

Actually, I am worry about my son's feeling that he need the time for the new environment and the new classmates. But I also worry about the heavy workload for the coming P.1

So, some of friends agreed with me, some of them disagreed. What do you feel, Iolite?

Hi!  I think you are a very good mother too.  Because you also think about your son's feeling.  Are you a working mother??  That's very important.  If you are working mother, then, it is very hard to manage your son who's studying in St. Joseph.  

Just like me, you will stay with them to do the homework for the whole night, if they have dictation or test, then you should spend more time, so when I go to sleep, may be 2-3 a.m., so everytime, when I reply your e-mail, must be midnight time.

Vicxxx is a good kindergarten, so I just wonder why you change to another kindergarten?  only 7 months, and which kindergarten ? I can if you some advise, but at this moment, I don't know which new kindergarten?  So, I cannot give you any comments.

Actually, 你真係要了解清楚你個仔的性格及能力,因為,俾你入到去,你沒有能力,俾人叮走仲衰,that's  why, my three sons are studying in different school.

好多謝你這樣詳細的分析 我好高興在BK認識你這位好媽媽    至於仔仔屬於什麼性格?他自小的專註力都不錯,也很有主見(不過有時也很固執),他特別喜歡數字,有關數字的東西都喜愛. 他很有時間觀念, 平日他自已安排時間,如午餐後先做功課,練琴,再玩玩具,臨睡覺前看2-3本故事書,起床後上興趣班,等我們回家晚飯,再替他檢查功課看通告, 和他談學校的情況,唱唱歌,讀故事書就上床睡覺.不過他很愛拿第一,拿一百分,如功課或其他活動,我就不太喜歡他這好勝的性格,我覺得男子只要有自信就行,不要有太大的壓力生活就會開心啦. Iolite, 你覺得哪間比較適合我仔 請給點意見,謝謝

I have forgotten to tell you, Before, I think St. Joseph's is an English Primary School, then, Chinese will be easier than Wah Yan & Henessey, but finally, I think I am wrong, St. Joseph's Chinese also very difficult if compare with Wah Yan & Henessey.  So, I am also planning to change to Wah Yan in P.2, because my son always crying, less pressure.....
