i...i also want to share some experience about KU.

After the trial class, i said i want to join but i wanted the same teacher. They said it's okay and the new class conducted by the same teacher would start two weeks later, so i paid. However, they called me one day before the class started and said it was cancelled because only one student. Now is another two weeks already, but no news at all. They seldom call people. It's alway i'm the one to call and ask the progress. It seems that they don't care that much whether you join or not. It's wasting my baby's time. I'm thinking of getting the money back and change to LD. Could anyone recommend the teacher in LD?i had the trial class in LD before but the teacher was not that good.Pls pm me for the teacher's name if it's not good to post here. Thanks a lot.

oh, it's so lucky to read your message. i m thinking if i should make use of my maternal leave and take the baby to KU starting from 1 month.

seems LD only enroll babies starting from 4 months.  m i correct?

Re: Be careful to choose which English IM class to join in Kinder U

Well, Kinder-U is not that bad!  My nine months old son started their IM class since 3 months old and he loves the class soooooo much so as his classmates!!  They are so excited when the teacher sing the welcome song and focus on the flash cards very well!  My son's teacher is Miss Sue and she is very stable and speak loud clear native English.   I am not selling Kinder-U, and my gal is learning 3 courses from Kinder-U also ans she loves to go Kinder-U!!  She started Reading club like 5 months ago and the result is so amazing to me also the phonic class!  I get what I paid $$$ for!!  Although their rules are very straight but still reasonable to me!  Again my son really loves/enjoys the class and I am very happy with that!  Thats it!
With lots of loves....... Kristin :-D

Re: Be careful to choose which English IM class to join in Kinder U

Hi SkyPenguin,

Thanks for sharing your experience with us and its extremely valuable to moms like me who plans to enrol my kid for one of these IM courses.

So besides Kinder U and Baby Dynamites, are there any other schools that have similar IM courses? Or these two are the best among others?

I tried KU trial class and it was taught by a foreigner. She speaks loud and stable and be able to attract babies' attention. Yes, I also agree with you all that KU is not very flexible. I haven't tried BD yet. Maybe I shall also give it a try and experience it myself.

I think Mr and Mrs Ho should think about the retention of good teachers.  My girl attended the Putonghua IM class and the teacher left few weeks ago.  Luckily, they are able to hire a new one after several sessions.  I really hope that this teacher can stay longer as frequent change of teachers is not good to my girl.

Can anyone tell me if their situation is more stable now?
I wanted to take my son there last month to join, but my coworker told me how all the english teacher had gone!
So I am still deciding if I should still go now...
and because the coworker referred me to her teacher which she said was very good, but she left too!

Why is brand so important for playgroups

After deciding upon kinderU and having the worry to when to start getting my baby boy to learn English consistently. I ended up thinking whether it was the language i wanted him to have focus upon or the real experience of school life. Although school life is about knowing more things and being able to utilize language also, I also wanted my child to have the most fun in enjoying class time before he would start becoming scared of school in the future. Ofcourse i wanted to see him learn in front of my eyes also.

I got this flyer from the streets one day, and found out they had a free playgroup trial. I bought my child to two of Billy's Channel trial class, where they focused more on a balanced lesson with sports as well as language activities.

Although the first lesson had too many children from an age range of 1 to 2.5 which turned out to be a bit hard to for my child to catch up, the next day was absolutely great as all the kids where around 1 years old. The lady there said they would only arrange official playgroups according to the suitable age groups for classes not including trials.

I loved the adventure exercises they have with tents, slides and bean bags, my child finally learned to balance properly ontwo feet when walking on top of the bags. The dance time was even better when they each got to play their instruments along with the song they learnt. It's a new place, with new toys and fun and creative teaching ideas for both myself and my son to experience. Perhaps trying new places aren't so bad after all. We learnt about colours with ball games which the teacher gave clear instructions and repeated the colours with flash cards enough times to get the whole class interested.
