Re: 想不想孩子學日文?
If your kids are young, like under 5 or 6, it is better to let them learn a new language thru play group. this is what I learnt when I had my degree in education in New York told me. And in fact, my two girls, who are now 5 and 6, are learning Japanese thru a play group with one Japanese lady and two other children. They like the class and they love to attend the class. During the lesson, they sing, they do some crafts, some drawing and some hiragana writing. They learn a lot in only three months of time. They can each say their name in Japanese, tell people how old they are, count from 1 to 20, tell the names of fruits in Japanese and even when we go to Japanese restarante they can read and order for themselves. (but for ice-cream favors and sodas only. )
BUT.....I also learn Japanese together with them, so that they can talk with me....even my Japanese is still at level 4(which is the lowest level). So, if you really want your kids to know a new language, try to learn with them together |
