Most of the students in the secondary go abroad to continue study.  This is the fact, so think carefully if you want to send them out.  Lots of parents here are government officials, that means they have the government loan.

One thing to tell u all, the principal doesn't organise any seminar on choosing secondary school for Grade 6 students.  It is because she doesn't want the students to leave, so she can keep the 85% EMI students directly into the secondary in order to upkeep the English status, i.e.  the college will not change into Chinese school.  But I can tell u, the English level is not up to standard.

Rosayau, please correct me if I am wrong.  You said the English books are too difficult for the students, but on the other hand, you said their English level is not up to the standard.  Can you further explain? I assume they should have a high English standard if the text books are difficult.

Do you know their HKCEE result?  I am quite confused.  Somebody said that this school is a very famous school as many official's sons, such as the Head of Judiciary's son, are also study there.  

Is it worth to let the son to study in his primary school? or you suggest to let the son study in it's primary, then promote to other good secondary school?  Anyone can share, please.

The book we are using is Collin which is too difficult for them, I say their English is not up to the standard means P5 students have only P3-4 level.  The teacher in charge of the English Department told me  the assessment test for P3 and P6 every year, the result is not satisfactory, listening and oral is good, but writing and  grammar is below standard.  

You must employ tutors - English, Chinese for the children if you sent them to study in this school.  For me, I 'm glad that we will leave this school next year.

Difficult English books but low English standard?

Maybe because quite a number of parents of this school are rich enough to afford the high school fee, but not very keen to push their kids in their studies or they don't want their children to have so much pressure. As a result, some of the children are not performing so good.

On the other hand, you must admit that some parents are very concern about their kids' results, their are the ones employing tutors to help their kids. But these children will go to other better schools after primary.

Therefore you can see the results of the  secondary section not so good.

Are you mean that the acedemic result of it's secondary is not up to standard.  Do you know the percentage of admitting to local university?  or is unknown as they go to foreign country to study already.
