Don't worry. I've not yet received letter also. I applied South Horizons Victoria.

I think my son's performance is great. He was born on Jan 04. So he is a "Big Son".

Have you applied any other kinders? My son has already been accepted by 啟思. However, Victoria is my first choice.

I may not let him enrol Victoria since its not my first priority... yeah... he is going to join KCS

KCS 蘇浙... I want my son to learn Mandarin as earlier as he is.

But I haven't made my final decision yet...cos I am still fighting with my parent-in-law, cos they want my son enrol Victoria very much.... maybe they will get win finally....who's know???

2.  係 7 月出世架
3.  佢有返 Victoria 既 Playgroup

不過我問過老師，唔係個個讀 Playgroup 既就一定收，有一年成 30 個小朋友考，都係收左兩個

didikoko, i want my son to learn putonghua asap too, that's why we applied for victoria in HH but i think the chances r very slim. but KCS is too far from where we live so it is impossible for him to go there. if my son doesn't get into the mandarin class at HH then i will have him go to a cantonese english bilingual class closer to home.

candietweety & candypo, from your info... your children won't be 2yrs old when school starts in august!?  i thought they had to be 2yrs old to be accepted in prenursery?? maybe i thought wrong!

foreverbb, my colleague said if i m not the first lot to get acceptance letter then i m most likely to be on the waiting list!! oh well! :-|

it is funny that they split M W F and T TH!! but it sounds like they r doing that only at homantin and belcher garden?!

I UNDERSTAND MOST OF THE PARENTS WANT THEIR KID LEARN MANDARIN. HOWEVER, OUR KID IS VERY SMALL, MOST OF THEM DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO TALK, IF THEY START IN MANDARIN IN PRE-NURSURY, IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT FOR THEM, SINCE THEY ARE SCARE IN THE NEW ENVIRONMENT (SCHOOL), THEN THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE AT ALL.
FOR MY OPINION, LET THE KID IN CANTONESE SECTION IN PRE-NURSURY, AND THEN SWITCH INTO MANDARIN CLASS IN K1, IT IS VERY COMMON IN VICTORIA.UNLESS, YOUR MOTHER TONGUE IS REALLY MANDARIN AND CAN SPEAK MANDARIN AT HOME ALL THE TIME.
FOR KCS, I LILE THE ENVIRONMENT AS WELL, HOWEVER, EVERYONE KNOW THAT THEIR SECONDARY SCHOOL IS NOT SO GOOD. WE NEED TO THINK OF LONG RUN AS WELL.
FOR VICTORIA, THE SCHOOL FEE IS A LITTLE BIT TOO HIGH BUT  THE ENVIRONMENT IS O.K., AND THE TEACHERS ARE WELL QUALIFIED, AND THEY ARE VERY NICE TO THE KIDS.

我都好似你咁諗,所以我一間幼兒園都無幫個女報,淨係舊年3月報左vic記playgroup,佢地11月頭打黎叫個女12月番學,果陣佢未夠一歲,未識行,未打一歲針同水痘針,我讓左果位俾下一個先,等到一月頭,無聲氣,再follow-up,佢地個主任話未有位,又話囡囡應該8月入n1,原來1歲8個月就要入,我先知,問佢地幾時報名,佢地話10/05已經deadline.  我死ai佢地,又有我03/05交果張playgroup申請表影印以示我有誠意,佢加埋俾我interview,係最後一日果個session,然後佢表現ok,但由於相對較其他candidates細,係無人地咁叻,咪派左去下午班lo!報得一間都收,我算jup到lu!

另外,佢地講明普通話班淨係收家中母語係普通話嘅小朋友架!

I agree with you all that Victoria fee is very high and also it is really too young to study Mandarin at 2.  My daughter has accepted by 蘇浙, 明慧 (Int'l) & 嶺南, those 3 are so different 教學, therefore I am struggling which one I should go?????

今天去蘇浙 interview, 因為我有 relative 正在讀﹐ 所以好大機會入到﹐ 不過是下午班﹐ 但是今天可能是假期﹐ 老師沒有帶我們去四圍看看﹐ 我也不太清楚環境﹐ 現在還沒決定讀蘇浙﹐ 明慧 (International) 或是嶺南﹖﹖﹖﹖
因為明慧是國際﹐ 又是上午班﹐ 但是蘇浙是普通話﹐ 但是下午班﹐ 我不太喜歡﹐ 嶺南出名﹐ 又是上午班﹐ 但是太遠﹐ 我不太喜歡廣東話教學﹐ 大家給我意見好嗎﹖﹖﹖﹖﹖﹖﹖

hello, we finally received the acceptance letter tonight, and my son got accepted in the cantonese/english pm class monday-friday. but it is definitely not a favorable choice for we wanted him to be able to learn putonghua and go to school in the morning so it is double whammies!!

I received the acceptance letter today as well.  My daughter will take Eng/Cant class at Kornhill, am session.

She is a small girl, born in Dec 04.
