Receive the letter of PLK CKY

Who is going to study at the school - the kid or parents?  Really don't know what's the requirement and expectation of the school.

My son's schoolmate got direct acceptance from the school without second interview.  Can't understand this.  Isn't that fair???

Oh, so smart and  "powerful" ! I think your son's schoolmate should have brother or sister who already studied in CYY.  Which kindergarden ?

個人意見，不敢說是正確：

首先，任何私校選生，都不是只選學生，也要選家長，因為家長的教育理念是否和校方一致是很重要。

第二，面試和比賽一樣，除了實力，總要靠幾分運氣，包括校長當時的心情、孩子的臨場表現、評審職員的手緊手鬆、一同面試中其他考生的表現等，總會有一些影響。

我去年曾在這個論壇看見一個CKY家長投訴，他的大孩子在CKY讀書，小孩子被reject 了。網上留言，不知他是不是"吹水"；不過，有哥哥姊姊在原校讀書，弟弟妹妹總會有優勢，的確是事實，政府學校的計分制是如此，不少私校在申請表上也會問明這一項。

至於，有人不用2nd interview 而被接納，就真是有問題了。不過，今年的收生程序上，有很多家長義務幫忙，照計在收生事宜上，比其他私校更加透明。校方剛成立「家教會」（家長教師會），這處也有家長是成員之一，或者可以幫忙反映一下？

He's the only kid in the family and studying at HKBUK.   Actually, when the 1st interview was still in progress, his parents told us that he's being accepted by CKY and they were thinking whether choosing CKY or go for HKBUP.

It is confused to me!  

One of my friend, whom was Principal Lau's old colleagues & friends, even now she is the teacher of one PLK schools, her son has to take 2nd interview, too.

If parents didn't agree with a school's vision/concept, they will not apply for that school la!

I did agree that lLUCK is very important though.  No matter how smart your kid is, he/she might not get a place.  But just hate the unfair game.

Letter from CKY

My friend's son had received the letter from CKY which stated that " ……..  After completing our admission process, your child has been put on the Primary 1 waiting list, is a place becomes available before 1st September 2006, you will be contacted; however, by 1st September, 2006 you do not HERE from us, please consider the waiting list close. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact us."

This letter may be a good material for the grammar course.
