我講你可能唔信, 我都係尋晚問完你係邊區, 先去中學概覽度睇我住東涌係屬於邊個網.....睇到我一頭霧水 係咪即係"他區"中既學校我都可以去選, 學位分佈唔知係咪同"本區"一樣?

你講果幾間, 在TKO, 距離我都好遠呢! 頭3間我都幾鐘意...."滙基"....係咪好似近住石狹尾大坑東果頭....聽講幾好, 我阿仔既校長個仔都好似讀果間...好似話係F.4先轉英語教學ge......唔知有無記錯....

//學位分佈唔知係咪同"本區"一樣//  No, each school will allocate more space for 本區 students and just a few for 他區, so chance of getting a space in 他區 is of course smaller.

I don't know about details of those TKO schools, just have heard about their names and maybe Christian schools are better in 校風.滙基 is in Kwun Tong.

If you look for schools in city, maybe PLK 顏保齡,崇真, St. Margaret's Co-ed at 深水埗,李國寶 at Mongkok are quite good DSS. Really need to visit them to see if they are suitable.  Very busy!

Oh! I see, 唔該哂!

係呀, 我都覺得我地將會更忙, 選小學時我未識上bk, 又不懂去找資料, 盲中中揀左間好唔啱阿仔既小學, 累到佢小學都讀左3間...所以呢次我不可再重蹈覆徹...好在仲有一年時間俾我慢慢睇....証明我俾佢重讀小四係無錯既...

不過我阿仔一定要揀間活動式, 不太傳統, 和最好重視領領袖訓練既學校, 因為佢小一時被評為讀寫障礙, 英文成績一直都唔好, 雖則都有一些特別訓練, 但要追上一般學術要求, 我想仍須多幾年時間, 咁可能F.1~F.3中中, F.4先轉英語教學既學校會較適合佢...想請問你所知, 那一些中學會較啱佢?

如果shamshuipo, 觀塘, 東涌等, 唔知會唔會學生質素太雜, 定係佢地D學生都好多來自區外呢??!!

聽我朋友講佢個女在旺角勞工子弟讀F.1, 班裡已經個個拍拖, 仲係十居其九(我唔知佢有無誇大)...佢依家都諗住轉校返荃灣葵青區讀, 呢排報紙幾多中學生負面新聞, 仲係單單都同男女感情有關....

不過wymom, 你真係好好人, 俾咁多建議我, 我會逐一找資料研究研究, 真係多謝哂!

No need to thank me, we just share info. here.  I am also doing search, so can't really tell you which is good.  But in your case, I think YMCA is quite a good choice as they separate kids into different levels in the core subjects to teach, and their English level can gradually improve and can join higher level groups.  This is better than changing to English teaching by F.4, which I think will be too late.  

Though the kids of YMCA are not very top students, they are overall quite nice, and if the school is located at a remote area, students have less temptations and may focus more on their school work and activities.  I always see secondary students wandering in shopping malls in Mongkok, Kowloon City, Tsuen Wan, Shatin etc., so I may avoid those schools which are too close to shopping malls.

For dating, it is not easy to avoid if study in co-ed schools.  I also need to learn how to monitor my daughter on this, the kids are already talking about puffy love since P.5!
