Agreed with you that "big" kids are always in advantage, pointing to this case only. (excuse me if there's small kid parent)  That's why I plan to have my second child to be born as "big" kid.

As my baby's birthday was March 2005, that means I can apply for SPN next year for school year of 2007/2008?  Do you think SPK will be academically better than SPN?  Or both SPK and SPN used the same books?  As SPN is a full-day school, do u know if the teachers are able to handle all children in the class, include feeding them?  I'm afraid the teacher doesn't care if my baby will eat or not... so she will not have enough nutritions...

i did not consider SPN last year mainly due to their full day schedule.  Personally, I am quite worry to send my 2 year old to a full day nursery while being a full time mother.  but if you are a working mom, may be you can consider as going to nusery is definitely better than staying at home with the maid.

Two schools use different books. I cannot tell you which school is better in terms of academic as I don't have two girls studying in both SPK and SPN. But what I "8" from a SPC's teacher is that SPN students usually have higher academic results in their primary classes. For this year, all SPN's girls (100%) are accepted by SPC but I don't have the % of SPK.  Anyway, both schools are good. In terms of time sequence, just try to enroll SPN first (it's difficult to get a seat as there's only 60 seats available). If SPN is not ok, you still have the chance to apply SPK.

Don't worry about the meals at SPN. They have sufficient resources to take care of every kid. As I remember, during the first month of N1, the ratio of baby sister to kid is even 1:1.   They have many 外援, including the Sisters and Secondary School Students from St Paul's Convent. After one month, all N1's kids would be used to their school lifes and feel very happy to do all the works by themselves! You'll be surprised to note that all N1's kids can eat and wear the shoes by themselves just after one month.

If my baby does not like the food at SPN as she will eat breakfast, lunch and tea there, will the baby-sitter try to feed her or just let her hungry?  

Also, during nap time after lunch, what if my baby doesn't want to sleep, what can she do?  Also, do they have a bed for each baby?  Are the bed sheets and blanket clean?  

Actually what time does the class end?  is it 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.?  How about Saturday?  Can a kid stay at school for so long time without lose temper or being unhappy?

Do u think the teachers and helpers at St. Paul's are kind and caring to children?  I heard some teachers from popular kinders are not too caring to children... they are more commercial...  so far your daughter like SPN much?

Do SPN mostly accept children with working moms?  thanks.

我個小朋友係超級"茶煲",有幸被SPN選中入讀. 老師們/主任們/園長一的都唔覺佢煩,仲想出很多方法令他適應校園生活,由班主任講返俾我地聽,等我地相配合.故此返N1唔夠一星期小朋友已經成功介了日片,仲會自己吃飯,著鞋,擺書包. 現在佢仲識唱哂學校既歌及誦讀課上教過的課文,仲同我地五音不齊咁分享學校發生過的事,見到他一日一日進步,我們真的很開心 ,仲唔使俾老人家再話我地忍心俾佢讀全日! 現在同佢講唔俾佢返學,佢反而會    

我見家長們 working 同 non-working 的媽咪都有.共通之處,反而係個個小朋友背後都支援龐大,好多都有成兩個大人以上送返學,接放學,所以走廊會好鬼迫,好似行年宵咁!!:-|

SPN係教會學校, 有直升小學中學, 所以唔會commercial. 我想妳所指的是某些九龍塘幼稚園.

學校幫小朋友戒片好快, 因為他們每兩個課室中間設有洗手間, 設計得很好.  

我細仔所讀的幼兒園在該區已算有一定名氣, 但一比之下尤其在照顧方面真是有相當距離的.

我見很多working mum, 很多專業人仕.

thank you so much for all your detailed information...  

when I talked to my husband about full-day school (no matter it is SPN or others), he immediately rejected the idea of full-day school as he thought our daughter might not get enough care & attention, children will get sick easily as all the children will study, play, eat and sleep in the same classroom for long hours... did your husband or parents / in-laws rejected the idea of full-day school?   

After hearing all your positive comments, i start to like SPN more...      (i always like SP, now even more!)

During SPN interview, can u accompany your daughter or she handled the interview by herself?
