I have paid the registration fee to Stafford. Originally I choose between SJC & Stafford. But now, I think I won't choose SJC.

Stafford is more parent-friendly & the cirriculum is very all-rounded with a special stress in English. The only disadvantage compared to SJC is that it doesn't have a primary school.

But if you are confident with Stafford & your kid, shouldn't be a big issue.

For SJC, I really afriad that there will be a lot to paid for everything.

actually, I also get an not-so-good impression of the interviewer as she asked my girl if it's daddy drive her to school. It seems testing my family background.

interview 後的參觀安排是比較差, 但我覺得那裡的老師都幾 nice, 有問有答的, 只是今年收生人數比較多

Most importantly, SJC seems so mysterious in telling parents that it's teaching methods, etc.

I have no doubt it's English is high but I am also sure that many other schools' English standard is also good.

Just my own opionion. SJC is good but seems too much question marks to me. As we can only choose 1 kinder, I prefer the one with better "customer service" -- Stafford as we parents are just like customers. i think Stafford is expensive but it worth the money so far i know.

其實吾辛苦, 我冇出面補習, 到六年班時入埋精英班. 全級考三十幾名. (全級頭四十幾名的會入精英班)
不過我細妹成績吾好, 係三年班踢出學校

以前既派位方法同宜家既吾同晒LU,
我記得我個班miss話最差果個派"何XX會督銀希中學", 我吾係好記得個名. 都好似係BAND ONE. 廿幾個男仔有大半入喇吵,兩三個入男拔...女仔就瑪利諾,女拔佔幾個. (但我個班係精英班,其它班應該冇咁好)

另外, 雖然佢地吾係全部都外藉老師, 但其實D學生英文水平都幾好. 我記得我中一果年吾使點讀書都名列前矛架
不過都是N年前既事, 宜家學校係點我就吾知LU

Hi Jychan

Today I know my son interview result for SC & Kent & SJC is pass. But I will be register to SJC because I tell my friends , they said SCJ had primary school for back up. In future if my son is smart boy he can interview other primary school for my choice.
Today I call to school, they tell me K1 is 9 group , for each group about 12-15 persons. So I think this school may be take care students should be OK.
Now I have some question if I interview 宣道 & 禮賢 How can my choice ?

Hi jychan,

I made registration to both SF & SJC.

For school environment, SF seems much more spacious and activities for K2&K3 are much more diversified.

For school reputation, SJC seems better.  (just heard, I really don't know much)

Anyway, I am still thinking......

I've made up my mind to choose SF aldy & so I won't register for SJC. Other than the pre-paid misc. fee issue & my feeling that it is a bit like a rich people school after the interview & my conversation with its teahchers, I find SJC is not as comprehensive as SF in its cirriculum.

I think SF is suitable for my daughter as it is somehow a school in between traditional's one in its stress on academic development and the liberal one in terms of its great variety of extra-cirricular activites such as outings arranged for the kids.           

So far, I still can't find out much about SJC even if I called the school today. The teacher who answered my phones seemed not very willing to disclose the info to me even though my girl got accepted by it. I have no more time & interest to find out more about it. Anyway, I am very satisfied with SF so far & so I will opt for it.

I had difficulty in making decision between SJC & Stafford. As both schools are under the same price range (although SF is more expensive for FD class), the other factors will be academic, teacher, campus, and reputation.
I would think kinder reputation is more important when you apply private / dss primary school, and this is something that Stafford may lose marks. As for the rest, SJC is relatively more academic than SF and a Catholic school will train a child to be more disciplined. As last, my hubby & I decide to pay the registration fee to SJC today.
