入名校=讀得辛苦?

其實,我想講,通常有咁既想法既人一定唔係名校出嚟,佢地唔了解內情,聽聽埋埋就有呢個想法.

我小學讀St. Mary的。 當年為我來說便覺得很辛苦，尤其p5開始, 每天做功課做到晚上11:00 - 12:00;:cry:  連needlework, 最後亞媽見我做到凌晨1:00都未做得完, 一邊哭一邊做, 終於第一次要幫我去完成這功課！！     所以, 不好一口咬定有這想法的一定不是名校出身！ …又或許是如你所說，我不合這level 啦！   但那時，是靠考入學試入讀的，我可能是最後的籮底橙吧！

講下我感受啫！

多謝，其實都預左抽唔到。如果抽到，都等於中六合彩，私小一年學費點都要三幾萬，六年至少都廿萬啦，六合彩琴日既三獎都係三萬幾咋。

佢個女同我個女一樣, 今年讀p2, 之前見個月仔, 好好笑容, 好開心活潑, 放假同媽咪去麥當當食breakfast...........

之後, 有一次見佢(印象中好似係p1下學期就黎完的時侯), 無晒表情, 跟住同佢媽咪傾左幾句, 知道佢個女, 課外活動有, ballet, paino, 畫畫

補習: 公文數, 英文, phonics........................

如果要我個女甘, 第一, 我無甘多$可以比佢甘多課外活動/補習, 第二, 我無甘多時間帶佢呢度去果度去, 第三, 呵呵呢個先係main point, 我吾想甘幸苦, 甘大壓力, 係我wor, 呵呵

有d野唔係必須既.......唔淨係名校既小朋友要上呢d野....名校既小朋友亦唔係個個要公文數的

但一竹竿打晒一船人......用好可憐既眼光同時...有無諗下人地既感受呢?講事實既全部又唔同喎...但只係一部份囉

唔知你講果間是否瑪利曼呢?如果係的話就真只是個別例子，
我個女在這學校已經３年了，而我仍認識很多家長，我們都
不是參加很多課外活動，公文就更加諗都無諗過（太機械式訓練），學校１－３年級是活動教學，學生每天返學都好開心，教師仍有佢地一套教學方式，學生好意入腦，功課又唔算多（約３－５樣好多時係學校都做哂），我諗好多普通學校都要，如果上課時專心，根本返屋企溫習就可以了，我好多時都返學校當義工，暫時都無同學仔同我講辛苦，大壓力或無表情

我見過好多讀非名校都一樣好多課外活動及補習，亦都有ｄ讀名校完全無任何補習，只參加以玩為主的課外活動，這些都是個人取向而已，同是否讀名校無乜直接關係的．

呢的都唔關名唔名校事，關家長事。啲 band3 名校，都有家長花5000元補習和課外活動喇。

I am a Maryknoll Convent graduate. I went to MCS kindergarten too. MCS had kindergarten section (K3 only) many many years ago. haha.
名校of course is 辛苦. I remember that I had the study pressure started from primary 3. There were so many reading assignments, quizzes, tests, unseen dictation, etc. If the child was not self-motivated, the parent then had to closely monitor her work; otherwise, she would get behind very easily. I feel that MCS teachers do not care of the students' progress, they pass the responsibilities to the parents. If your child got behind and failed this and that, I am sorry, she had to be out.
Classmates at school would not tell you how hard they studied, how late they stayed up for homework, etc. They would just tell you that they didn't study much or they didn't do well on tests, then it ended up they got 90+ on tests and exams. I don't know the other 名校, but MCS is like this. You need to know to play this game. It is sort of like this commercial world. We learnt how to play the game when we were only primary students. Such a good training.
I certainly like MCS and I enjoyed my school life there, especially the primary school section. Actually I have good memories at the primary school section because there were a couple of kind sisters (nuns) at that time. There are almost none sisters at school nowadays. The black head teachers are    better study hard before going to their classes. haha.

我細時讀的"名校",同你講的情況一模一樣.
到今天,自己的孩子要入學了,我都覺得好矛盾.
我覺得名唔名校都唔係最大問題.
因為無論任何學校都有好的和唔好的老師.
最重要係不要令小朋友失去"自信心".

唔敢講間間名校都辛苦, 不過好似有d學校p.1上學期已經讀p.2下學期嘅課程, 我諗唔係平時已經操得好fit嘅小朋友都好難話應付自如, 一般程度嘅小朋友唔多唔少都要付出多d時間同努力去追返d程度, 試問又點會唔辛苦.  到追到啦, 好fit嘅小朋友已經又上一層樓, 呢個係一個無型嘅壓力不斷鞭策d小朋友學習.  從某個角度睇好似令到小朋友學多同學快咗好多野, 但係佢地就變咗將大部份時間用係讀書上面.

我聽有個媽咪講佢讀名幼稚園嘅仔晚晚做功課做到 11:00pm, 放學仲有補習老師補兩小時, 如果唔係追唔上, 再睇吓佢d功課薄k.2 已經一句一句中文句子咁抄寫同默書, 我個囡k.2連細草a-z都未學晒.  所以想讀名小學最好先讀名幼稚園, 如果唔係未就係 = 辛苦 lor.  :cry:

我想試下就你既體會，再深入的研究下
１．讀高半年．．．．我見多數都係英文書讀高左．．其實係k3好多學校都有教good morning...good afternoon．．．咁我諗讀高半年．．．唔去重覆幼稚園k3既課程．．．．唔駛操到好fit先得既．．．．再講有ｄ讀高一年．．．．．都只係一年內教三本書即1B,2A,2B,如果只教兩本(2A,2B)都係會開學既一兩個月內用其他形式教左1B的．．．．一年班既課程唔係太深，應該可以應付吧．．留返左呢ｄ時間．．到六年班時準備升中．．．我覺得比較實制．．．．
２．有直屬小學既．．．真正穩陣既名校．．．．都唔會深得去邊架拉．．．深．．．已經唔係幼稚園既主流．．．不過著重英文並唔代表深．．．唔係外國既小朋友講得幾句英文就會叻過我地既小朋友．．．幼稚園階段應著重小朋友啟發．．自信心．．．心理既發展，例如n1已可以自發咁表達自己．．．

另外．．．介紹幾間唔深既幼稚園．．．．st paul, sh, 聖士提反女校幼稚園，靈糧堂．．．九龍我就唔係好熟．．．但一般有直屬既都唔會深�辛苦得去邊,

School is a place for acquire knowledge. Repeating to do so much homework or exercise is not an effective learning wayn. Personally, I don't buy the idea to have too much homework. In addition, there are many extra-curriculum activities. Aparts from school life and extra-curriculum activities, there should have some time for the children's mentally development, i.e. playing.

I also come from a band 1 school, not a top school. Some of my ex-classmates said that it was difficult to handle however I did not find any difficulty. Please note that learning is not equal to training. Repeating to do some exercise/past better will not give you additional knowledge.

The syllabus is set to suitable for all students in HK. The top schools already get the students who are above the average. As a result, the students in those top schools should be capable to use higher class syllabus. Certainly, those student may not handle it as easy as using original class syllabus, but at least not difficult. For the parent, they need to pay more effort, again it is not hard. The important thing is whether the parent can choose a proper level school for the children. There is a long long way to run. Please choose a suitable track for your children and also for yourself.
