現時St. Paul’s Co-ed(堅小)既校長，
以前都是St. Stephen’s Girls' 既老師來的，
St. Stephen’s Girls' 既師資不容置疑，
佢地教出來既女孩都很優秀。

It is not a dumb question at all. CSA stands for the Chief Secretary for Administration and most people called it the CS.

As I said, don't quote names. Rosanna Wong is just another failure, do you remember she resigned over the construction scandal when she was the Housing Authority Chair. Fan Tai, she was referred to, at one time, as the left over old battery of the colonial days, by some. Yip Lau, she messed up in the Article 23 legislation and resigned. It is just a pity that they failed and they came from St Stephen Girls, right?

Motheroffour is an interesting character.

1.  It’s she who first compared schools by saying that hkuga and St Stephen’s Girls (SSGC) are not as good as St Paul’s Convent and Wah Yan because the latter two have produced Anson Chan & Donald Tsang. When it was pointed out Anson Chan was in fact a Sacred Heart graduate, she changed mind by saying that there is no need comparing schools.

2.  While we all know being old and established it does not mean it is necessarily good.  Motheroffour said her kid who is at hkuga at the moment has his sight on Ivy League universities. This sounds funny because she did not refer to good universities in the US but only Ivy League universities.  One of the key features of Ivy League schools is their long history.  I like old universities but I will be quite happy if my daughters can study at Stanford or MIT, which cannot attract Motheroffour since they are not Ivy League schools.

3.  So far no one has made any negative remarks against SPCS but Motheroffour seems to be very defensive on this.  I agree with 麟媽媽's  (being a graduate of SPCS herself) comment that both SGSS and SPCS are good schools. I have students from both schools and I have a number of friends who have girls in these two schools. It will be a tough question if you ask me to recommend one for your girl if I don’t know your girl well enough. The only obvious drawback I don’t like about SPCS is their location, being too central in Causeway Bay. At the same time SSGS has one of the most beautiful campuses in Hong Kong.

4.  In fact, SPCS is much older than SSGC. SPCS was founded in 1854, half of a century earlier than SSGC.

5.  It is interesting to note that it is a SPCS graduate, 麟媽媽, who has come to the defense for SSGC. Actually, we seldom see a SSGC parent speaking in this forum. Maybe we can tell a thing or two about the style of the SSGS parents and their girls.

6.  Let’s not forget that it’s characters like motheroffour making this forum colorful and enjoyable. Let’s thank her for that. I don’t think there are too many people who will take her remarks seriously.

You did not notice that EVA 222 is in fact the mother of a SSGC graduate and she boasted that her daughter chose Umich because there were US presidents etc who came from this Uni. This is what she said, in modest, " Umich出過美國總統,太空人,諾貝爾得獎者,著名學者等等...相比出幾個高官有何大不了"

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I had already mentioned the merits of HKUGAPS in other topics in BK. Don't want to repeat anymore here as you may have noticed that some parents are getting furious already. I answered the query from a parent about HKUGAPS and SSGC but somehow we got involved in the discussion of other famous schools, like for instance your alma mater.

等我作為用家講下，點計都有資格評論。
二十幾年前，Convent仲未係而家咁又橙又啡，
我地有一個同SSGC一樣好鬼正既campus，
課室大樓離開電車路很遠，靠近教堂那邊，
真的鳥語花香、夏蟬叫聲處處，真令人懷念。
呢個咁既學習環境，真係咁都唔專心上堂都抵打喇！

不過而家，比較近路邊，嘈左D咁喇，
人地一過天橋咩都比人見晒囉(最憎呢樣)。
位於銅鑼灣中心地段方便？
真的方便放學可以去行SOGO (唔信放學時間去睇下)，
學生心野D必然架喇，不過安排得宜亦不太過。
所以聖心同St. Stephen's Girls'比我地心歸囉，
佢地「山卡啦」咁遠，只可以行置富商場？！
