Hi Cinderella,

Is St Paul's Co-ed's English standard higher than SPCS?  SPCS is an English primary school, but SPCC is a Chinese primary school.

Do you know about the current standard of SPCS secondary section?  Girls are also very good in conduct?  I always heard that girls in secondary section behave not much good.  Is it true?

I know two girls now studying in secondary school.  They are very hard working and well behaviour.  Of course, there will have some girls with bad conduct but majority are good.

Yes, they will. But only a few every year and I think the 插班生 are with some sound background!

績表等寄去,到了7月中後收到電話通知考筆
試,當日考中英數約1個半鐘,另10分鐘左右
每2位2位插班生見校長,都是問一些生活問
題如你早上會做什麼?點解考這所學校?出來
就走得,miss會叫等電話通知,我走了1個鍾多d
就收到通知OK.但當時已在早10日前考GoodHope
被收了,二來我是在九龍住的,為了交通便利,所以
捥拒了SPC,如我在香港島居住,我必揀這所校的.
其實校方主要睇校內成績和當日份卷,小女話份卷
不太深只是數是全英的.至於背景:沒有,小康之家
沒有什麼推廌信,本人只是普通家庭主婦而己.

Hi Chiulee,

I used to think so too.  But recently found out that the English standard of SPCC is very high - many readers, 4 NET teachers, competitive students, etc.  The P1 students already have high English standard to start with.  That's why it is a reputable school.

Very happy to know you.  My daughter is also in 1D.  Your daughter was promoted from SPK/ SPN or comes from outside kindergarten? Until now, I and my daughter like this school quite a lot!

Hi Pulsar & Chiulee,

My girl is also studying in 1D.  Very glad to know you both.  I am satisfy with the school's academic result, but I hope they can create more channel for parent and teacher to have better communication.

My girl came from SPK but pm class, before she could sleep late, but now she needs to sleep early.  Therefore everyday except homework, she can't do any extra papers.  How about your girls?  Would you please share your revision arrangement?

Hi Wendy,

My kid feels so tired after she come back home everyday.  She is now attending extra-curricular activities on Monday, Tuesday and Friday after school.  However, I'm considering to rearrange those activities for her co'z it might be too harsh.  I usually spend about 1.5 hours in checking her homework and make revision for her every night after I came back home (since I'm a working mum).  Actually it's very rush everyday, especially having dictation on next day.  She can't squeeze time for practising piano as well.

I also have the queries about their oral standard co'z they have no native English speakers, what do you think?  Also, do you think her classmistress is good or not?

Hi Chuilee,

I'm also a working mother.  I'm very bother in best arrange the time for her to do revision, extra exercises,  play piano and of course squeeze some personal time for her to play on her own.  Any advice from experienced mother here in Babykingdom?

My girl has to attend English, Mandarin, table-tennis & swimming on Wed., Thur., Fri. & Sunday respectively.  At the beginning of the term, she felt tired, but now I let her sleep at 9:30, she seems much better.  But on these days she can only finish her homework and revise dict. if any.  No other things can be done.  She also learns piano on Monday, but she doesn't like playing piano much and therefore she seldom practise piano, I'm still thinking should she continue piano learning.  Are we push too harsh for our girls?  I bought a few 中英數 exercises, I'm still "searching" the time to finish them.

Talking about their oral lesson, they have Ms. Martinzzui who looks like a foreigner.  My girl told me that each lesson a few of them will be take away by Ms. Marinzzui from their classroom, but I don't know where they go and what they will do.

My girl always mention one or two classmates who always punished or scolded by teacher.  But I think overall the kids are good because everybody knows that girls from SPC behave politely and have good conduct. (哈哈!!)

Hi Chiulee and Wendy,

How are you?  As my girl is also study the same class as both of your kids, let me take this opportunity to share the my girl's experience here.

She mentioned to me that there are two oral teachers to teach her class  -  who are Ms. Martinzzui and Miss Yau and both of them are Chinese lady.  

The class is divided into two groups whereas one group is teach by Miss Yau and the lesson is hold at the existing classroom.  However the other half of the class is teach by Ms. Martinzzui  and the lesson is hold at the activity room.

At the same time, they are now running the practising schedule for the girls who have been selected to have the speech competition in Dec.05

Any of your girl is also participate for this event?
