Hi all,
My child has allocated in L7, her cousin will attend in the same class, but i don't think is good for them coz they meet each other all the day. I'm asking school to change class, but she said need to wait for 1 sept to see who will give up the offer, anyone can change class for me, if your child have friend in L7, please reply to me immediately, i hope that i can do the class changing before the first school day, thanks!

Dear Moms,

Can you share with me your child's schedule since they all have to attend afternoon class in the new school year?  

I am thinking to wake my girl up early in the morning and hope that she will have a nap before going to school (but it seems a bit rush to have a nap and have lunch before going to the bus stop at 12:25 pm).

I don't think it is easy to ask our child to take a nap again in the morning before going to afternoon class unless they wake up very very early in the morning. I am sure they will get use to afternoon class very soon. Even my jaime, at the time she took the morning class in K1, she always slept in the school bus, but afterwards she kept talking with other children. Of course she took a nap in the afternoon.
I think I will let sleep until 9:00am. I am sure she will sleep on the school bus when she comes back from school then no need to take a nap la...

Agreed no nap required b4 school, I'm sure Kristy will fell asleep in the school bus, esp this year it taken her 1 hr journey to school, but 20 minutes only in last year.

The schdeule for my girl is:
8:30 get up
9:30 english lesson/ putonghua lesson/maths
         lesson /swimming lesson(from tue to friday)
12:00 lunch
1:00 school bus
6:30 dinner
9:00 sleep
actually, my girl follows this scheule from summer, it's quite good, coz she can sleep earlier.
Don't worry, they can adapt the new schedule very soon.

Your girl sleeps early but mine sleeps late cos we arrive home late after work and she used to wait for us, play with us for some time before going to bed.  Will see how it really is when the school starts and try to set a new schedule for her.  As you said, the child will adapt their new schedule.

Try to make your girl wake up a bit late.  This what I did during this summer vacation.  It does work.  My boy wake up around 10am and sleep around 10:30-11:00pm.  Sometime, he woke up very late, says 11:00am, I still let him go.  

No worry..... kids will get use to very soon.

Thanks lamlam-ma, that means lamlam does not take an afternoon nap?!

My girl used to sleep around 11:00 - 11:30 pm, esp during summer vacation (simply because we come home late).  Will try to ask her wake up late.

My girl is disappointed when I tell her that her old classmates in NB will not be in the same class with her in the coming school year.  As advised by Miss Pong, I told my girl that she would have new class teacher and new classmates so as to get her prepared for the change.  As Miss Pong said, some kids might need time to get accustomed to the new environment with new teachers, new classmates etc, esp after long holiday.
