my son decided between the double degree (BBA and Law) and LLB. he eventually chose LLB based on the following consideration: -
1. law subjects will be taught faster for LLB students, which give them a better preparation for vacation scheme in summer;
2. for a double degree student, you can only drop the LLB and concentrate on the other major by the end of year 2. If you want to switch from a double degree to LLB, a specific approval from law department is required;
3. admission to PCLL will only count the GPA of law subjects;
4. pathway LLM programmes with overseas universities are openned to single LLB studets only; and
5. governent subsidy for year 5 of double degree programmes will be reduced and the tuition fee will be doubled accordingly
the actual difference in admission score among LLB and the double degree progammes is not that big. the huge difference in expected scores is mainly due to the difference in calculation formula.
