但英國有研究, 係增值層面, (如果家庭背景一樣, 其實兩者分別唔太大。

冇錯, 而且selective grammar school 全英國得好小，1965年後已經冇再起，可能最近個間都離你屋企好遠, 每日要坐2小時巴士

英國派位係根據學校定左既方法派，例如地址遠近，考試成績表現，是否被照顧兒童等等

Bno如果係參加派位，都係同一樣既 rule

唔可以因為任何原因或利益，而bend 左個rule

全部都係電腦系統排位，由Council 做分配

我搵左學校區域先搬去果區住

如果要搭咁耐車，就唔係區網內，好難會派到，因為係根據catchment 來派，如果你係outside catchment, 唔係每一間都收，另外多數會派左in area先

我個女考左selective test, 佢無讀uk school, 我自己同佢係香港温習的
佢就係飛去uk考個試

不過當然我同佢之前有做mock paper同教佢考試重點等等

請問如果假設bno holders可以讀state school,但向council申報時一定要地址,咁咪即係一定要找到地方先去申請？咁樣好似好唔secure 咁！大家有冇comment?

咁要對當地學生都公平，如果地址都無，如何核實其實係咪真既申請。

Address fraud is quite a big thing in UK, it was on TV too, so u need to understand they are quite series about it.

In uk, they have fraud team to investigate this type of things.

Thank you for your heads up! Actually my concern is, if, what if， I already had a target local state school and understood address prove is a must, then I need to rent a place in the catchment area one year in advanced while mykid still
hasn’t got a school place. What is he going to do in this year without any place at school? Just wondering what is the proper procedure, anyone can share your thought or suggestions in here ? Thanks a lot

I don't think u need to rent a place one year before, if u know what area and school u wanna get in, u need to go to the council web site, search "primary school admission" or "secondary school admission" depends on your kid's age.

Then find the bit about home address requirement, they should explain very clearly what can be considered as "legit address proof". Having said that, it can varies from council to council, hence u need to choose the area first then read up the requirement.

People asking about how the address proof works, one really needs to look it up in the council page, otherwise the information u are getting might only applied in other county. They can be different from one another.

For example, the school and the area which I wanted to apply, the rule is I have to be in that address by the time I submitted my application, hence I dont need to be in the address earlier.

But it can be very different if u are in other area

In addition, if you have a preferred state school within your catchment area, but unfortunately, that school is oversubscribed, there may be extra places available a week after the school year began in September as some kids might drop out.
Furthermore, it is possible to join a state school anytime throughout the year. For example, if you are planning to move to the UK now, you might arrive in the UK in December 2020. It is possible for your child to join the school in January 2021.
