Our son (Y3) uses Microsoft Teams for live lessons and Seesaw for asynchronous lessons for his school.
He has 7 lessons from 7:45 to 2:45 with a mid-morning break and lunch time every day, similar routine/structure as normal school timetable. Each lesson runs about 40-45 mins. Out of 7 lessons, normally 5 are live on Teams. If the lessons are not live, there will be videos and tasks on Seesaw.
Our son can do all live lessons by himself (he sets alarms with Alexa) but he likes to keep the tasks on Seesaw and the non-live lessons until we get home to do them together with him.
Live and non-live, he has roughly 6-7 tasks each day on Seesaw (live and non-live). We are trying to get him to at least watch all videos by himself first.
Seesaw makes things a lot easier as we can complete and submit most tasks with just an iPad. And we can keep track on the activities/tasks (rather than going through a bunch of school emails). We hope the school will continue using Seesaw for homework even "back to school".
We try to clear as many tasks as possible each evening or at least every week. If we accumulate too many tasks, we lose the will power and motivation to do anything. (That's what happened last school year...)
