PS 我囡讀Pharmacy

因為英國大學知道國際學生讀完 Pharmacy 學位之後係好難找到一年實習經驗。但一年實習係作為註冊藥劑師的必要條件。所以 Nottingham 就設計左呢個五年嘅program, 期間保證一年實習時間。大學方面明白呢個program 會好吸引國際學生，唔擔心冇人讀。所以呢一年實習唔單止冇人工，仲要俾返學費！白D講，學生其實用錢買呢一年實習。其實學校已經為咗避免混亂，將個program改咗名、唔叫Placement。新名稱 Pharmacy (with Integrated Pre-registration Scheme) MPharm

其實學校網頁都寫得好清楚。

Our innovative five year MPharm course includes the pre-registration element of pharmacy training, enabling you to graduate ready to apply for registration as a UK pharmacist. This ground breaking programme means that you are guaranteed UK pre-registration placements as part of your degree.

This course is of particular appeal if you are an international student wishing to undertake your pre-registration training in the UK, whilst retaining your student status.

Please note that for all students the pre-registration element of the five-year programme is unsalaried and tuition fees will be payable to the University for each year of the course. The two six-month placements may not be located near Nottingham and students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

如果King’s no placement 同Nottingham with placement, 點揀？

一定nottingham有實習才可以有牌，但貴Ｄ因以上話五年學费＋宿舍＋生活费估每年三十萬！

The difficulty of getting a 1 year placement to fulfill the registerion criteria is real, the Britexit in near future post another uncertainty. Besides being a professional career, it really not that matter where you got the degree, as long as you are a registered pharmacist. I would pay the extra 1 year money and choose Nottingham over KCL (even UCL). And the student life in Nottingham would be better than in London, in my opinion.

That is 2 different issues.
實習完是否容易在英攞牌 - Yes, after the 1 year training, student can get registered in UK to be a registered Pharmacist. And then s/he (being a registered Pharmacist in UK) can come back HK to get registered as Pharmacist in HK.


尋找工作機會? - still difficult if we look at situation as today. But at lease s/he can come back HK for Pharmacist job.

我是朋友以前在英國讀同一間U及同科目，但主科有些是不同課程。就是她認識我仔後，提議我仔加placement year，我在學校見同一大學科目，細科還有不同方向性，尤其year 2 & 3 可再選細科。之前有些排名較前的U有offer，但細科目沒有興趣便不選該U。我朋友沒有placement，課程便加讀某些subjects。

知道後，我去升學展再了解更多，剛有agent 自已來自該科目在英實習。所以更加深入了解之下才選科的。呀仔亦會在英國問下老師。

Nottingham真係識揾銀，一般placement year只係三四千磅學費，Nottingham張佢放係year 4下學期同year5 上學期。應該收足全費。

Thx for yr advice, my girl will put Nottingham as 1st choice and either KCL or Manchester as Insurance. What’s yr opinion between these two?

亞女就真係對藥劑有興趣，但我就現實D，擔心佢難搵工..已唔會諗返hk 做野（況且聽聞考hk牌好難），但UK 搵工也不容易...

現實Ｄ用non jupas報本地大學，另好奇一問如英畢業有牌可否去歐洲掛牌免考試？
