You're welome. It's my pleasure to share my limited information (my baby is still in P1).

I don't know whether the interview of CPS is more easy. But I can tell my baby got her place in other quite famous schools during the first round interviews, e.g.  陳守仁, 優才, 九龍塘宣道,  九龍禮賢學校 & ,保良局蔡繼有(need 2nd in.) but failed in DGS.

Most of the schools, except DGS & 陳守仁, arranged group interview, & my baby is a very active girl. Also, she had quite a lot of cetificates (only sent to 優才& 啟思).

For DGS, 2 girls went into the principal's room but spent their time in answering basic personal information. She was not asked about the story she had just given.

For 陳守仁, my baby was interviewed alone but she appeared confidence in answering questions (both in Mandarin & English). I saw her from glass window.

Your girl is great! What driven you to chose CPS and gave up those famous school like 陳守仁, my friend's daughter now studying at 陳守仁 in P2, she told me that 陳守仁 is a very good school,  CPS is only her last choice if her girl can't get any places in other famous school.

I believed you spend quite a lot of time with your girl, does she the only child?  Did she study in International kindergarten? If not, by what ways she learn these languages?  English & Mandarin are very important to a kid, that's why I'm looking for those English primary schools for my son, I want him to have a good foundation.

First of all, thanks for your praise.

My baby is my only child. I really spend most of my time with her, & basically I have no evening dating/functions.

She studied in local class of an international kindergarten. She learnt phonics starting from the very begining of reading ABC. And the English & Mardarin sessions were conducted by native speakers. So, my baby's foundation in these 2 languages is very good. She didn't have to write much but to read extra books as borrowed from school. The weekly schoolwork was equivalent to others' daily one!

Actually my husband preferred traditional school at beginning, so we applied for both kinds of primary schools. But I won because I was the main carer/ tutor for my baby. Now he also agreed for my  choice.

I didn't choose 陳守仁/ PLK CKY as they seemed to be too new. I have 4 friends with children studying in CPS & they all had positive comments. Besides, it has good reputation except too expensive (told my another parent who is also a primary school teacher).

Hi Cameomon,

Thank you very much for sharing your past experience with me.  I really hope that my son can join CPS in 2006. I agreed with your point that those new schools are too new that no past results for reference.  But CPS is too expensive, I think I have to pay almost 8K for each month, but if CPS is an excellent school, then it's worth to pay for it.l

My son is going to have an interview at Int'l Christian Quality Music Primary School tomorrow afternoon, I I only treat it as a reheasal and dont' have too much expectation.

What do you mean?  Is it the school like Victoria or HKPS?  Please kindly share.  Thanks.

My baby studied in PARKVIEW-RHINE GARDEN INTL PRE-SCH (PIPS)柏基海韻國際幼稚園 which is in Sham Tseng. It is mainly a local Chinese school with only one international class of ratio 1:5-8.

It's mother school is PARKVIEW INTERNATIONAL PRE-SCHOOL @ 'Yeung Ming Shan Chong' with history of around 17 years. And it doesn't have local Chinese class.

I know that PIPS has bilingual class and international class, do you mean that your kid studied in International class (English only)?

Hi WYmom,

The local class (PIPS in Sham Tseng) speaks mainly in Cantonese, but there are Mandarin session & Enhlish session daily which are conducted by native speaking teachers. And my baby was in this class.
