I can provide you the following information for your consideration:

Kei Wa - New School site at Oxford Road, Kowloon Tong.  It is relocated from the primary session of Kei Wah at Choi Hung Estate.  From "External School Review (ESR) Report of EMB, you will note that the "Student Performance" that the academic test result for the past 2 years,  Chinese and English are slightly higher than the average result.
They do not have Secondary School Places Allocation as this is their new site at Kowloon Tong.

Kowloon Tong Government Primary School - From "External School Review (ESR) Report of EMB, you will note that the "Student Performance" that the academic test result for the past 2 years,  Chinese and English can reach the average result.  But the Mathematics is under the average result.
They have linkage with "Elizabeth Government Secondary School", "Homantin Government Secondary School", and "Jockey Club Secondary School".

DPS = Diocesan Preparatory School

Some teachers have left but they all swifted to DBSPD, not sure, cannot tell.

They only have 2 classes is because of their school building.  They can only accommodate 12 classrooms at their existing building.  I think they will have adjustment while the completion of new development besides.

They have about 64 seats allocation in both stages in 2005.  Not sure after the completion of new building, they will have more seats offer in 2006.  You may read the profile issued from EMB later.

How do the (mixed sex) subsidized/government primary schools in 41 school net compare to the two Yamatei Catholic schools in 31 net. Anybody can comment?

Not yet.  Hopefully after 2 July (what they call the "frozen period").

I have called the school and they said should be by Mid July.

I've never expected that KTGPS's standard is that mediocre as it has linkage with Elizabeth Government Secondary School, which I think is a very good school.

You may take the information from the "External School Review (ESR) Report" as one of the tools for your consideration.

Of course, the school knows what has happened and I think they will try their best to avoid all these (e.g. get more resources from EMB).

BTW, are your child is going to participate the "Lucky Draw" this year?  Are you in Net 41?  
Just relax, keep on to read the "Market Intelligence" before you pick your choice.

因為... ..., 唔怕失禮講句, 我仔仔係千禧B, 會響2006年在校網41揀學校, 雖然我都會為佢報私校, 但因為我仔仔係11月出世, 再加上英文能力唔係好得(因為佢唔係出自英文幼稚園), 我估計佢可能未必會有私校打底...(你仔仔有sfa, 好羡慕呀!)  所以, "大抽獎" 就變得好重要, (第一部份只得15分, 實無佢份), 所以 我好緊張又好擔心我應該點幫仔仔揀呢?

最後, 我希望你仔仔早日有好消息 from La Salle!

My son is still very very young <1 and there is still a long way ahead before we need to worry about his primary education.  It's just that my whole family group lives in Net 41 and for the sake of my nephews and nieces, and my little baby in the future, I'm quite interested to know more about the schools in this Net.  As we all know, it's not easy to get into LS or Maryknoll.  It is therefore very important to get the 2nd choice right.  Of course, Alliance and KTS are the best alternatives that we can rely on if the allocation result is not acceptable at all.
BTW, do you live in Net41? your kid studies at LS?

My choice last year:
1st - La Salle
2nd - DPS
3rd - Kowloon Tong Government Primary School
4th - Kei Wa
5th - Bishop Walsh (AM)
6th - Bishop Walsh (PM)

The rest I just random put to the form from the School List of Net 41.  Honestly, parents will not satisfy to the result if it is already out of the first 3 choices.  Am I right?

I learned from my friends that they put "Kowloon Tong Government Primary School" in 2nd choice - they win.

Also "Kei Wa" is a new school in Kowloon Tong.  It is the PM Session of Kei Wa at Choi Hung Estate.  I know that parents have go to "knock door" after 4 June, they can get interview and accepted.  But I am not sure about next year.

DPS starts accepting both boys and girls this year.  Therefore, more competitors in 2006.

If you don't mind, can you share what will be your choice of  private schools for your child or you can pm me for further discussion.

I want to express my view on school selection in Net 41 for girls.  Of course MCS is the most favorite choice but Holy Family is also very good.  It is a government subsidized school and also has secondary school.  

KRS is a good private school but it is not in the same level as SFA, APS and Good Hope.  Its secondary school is also not as goods as that for Holy Family.   So if you decide to take KRS if you cannot get MCS it may not be the best choice.

For Net41 girls the chance to get MCS or Holy Families are more than 50% of chance in 2005 and I believe it will be the same this year.
