I know they have summer school (at least for the Kowloon tong campus) - so perhaps you can try their summer school to get a feel. I have signed up for my son too.

Thanks for yr advise!!我都想報呀，但我囡囡7月未夠1.5歲，但對Toddlerobics (for age 1-2)又無咩興趣，(因為時間太短，而且唔想weekend)，所以唯有等autumn term。我都係做過research，見so far都positive comment，所以想一試^_^
請問你係咪報左kln tong? 如果唔介意，希望你到時可以再上黎分享下! thx in advance!!

I'd say you don't have to worry, they are playing all the time! They have half hour mandarin everyday, PE lesson and cooking lesson once a week, and not sure how often music lessons are though. They teach basic phonics from pre K/nursery, by the time they leave Anfield according to the principal most of them are at phase 4-6 of phonics which are quite advanced apparently.  They don't force the kids to write but encourage them to practise their fine muscles by doing different tasks, they only let the kids start holding pens in K1. They don't just hold up flash cards and teach the kids to repeat after them, they teach things implicitly.

I still remember before xmas my son had already learnt so many things about xmas, and was so looking forward to it. He didn't stop talking about xmas till the CNY haha. All in all me and my husband are thrilled that he often comes home with new knowledge / vocab!

2. if plan to study in local primary school, any difficulties? p.s I will teach him Chinese writing and reading everyday.

可能你要先了解本地小一的程度。除中文, 數學都應該同本地有差距。

至於discipline, 學校會透過唔同的環境, 例如早會要安靜, 專心, 去洗手間要排隊, 有秩序, 去playground唔好以推撞等等令到小朋友明白唔同環境有唔到規則。

I don't know exactly what they do and how they do to teach the kids to be discipline. Say if something happens in the playground and you or your child makes a complaint, they would generally keep an eye on things. They always have a lot of teachers on the ground during the play time before school. My son was constantly hit by his friend outside of school and we asked the teachers if that happened at schools, the class teachers said no because the kids generally are more well behaved since they know they are at school (which I believe is true). Honestly in terms of discipline the school can only do so much since the kids are only at school 15 hours a week whereas the parents should do really be the main people to teach our kids in this area.

With that said last time I still remember within the first week my son was already telling me to hold the handrail while walking up/down the stairs! Haha Recently I was in the waiting room waiting before we got to meet with our kids for an excursion, they all lined up to go to the toilet via the waiting room, they were all in a straight line and walked slowly to the toilet. Even though my son saw me he was only very excited on his face but did not ran away to come to me! I was so impressed how well trained they are at school.

To be honest, all along I planned to let him go to an IS until we move back to Australia one day. We are now planning to have a second kid though so we think that perhaps it's better we don't spend all our money on IS for two kids haha....I'm really in split mind, we love the look of the AISHK, and looks like he is getting accepted for 2019....so....either we let both kids go to an interactive DSS school, or my son gets better treatment by going to the AISHK and then the second child goes local...hahaha any opinions from you all?

我囡囡而家返緊Abc pathways，其實我覺得都唔錯，以我觀察，佢係有所進步的。可能而家年紀仲細，又未識講野，我都唔期望佢會學到啲咩，但起碼我見佢多左識聽指令，同埋多左同人互動。另一方面，校舍設施亦好新。

請問各位知道anfield嘅校車大約幾錢嗎？見好多JM都話anfield校車又貴又服務麻麻。我曾打過去問，但佢話要遲少少收左生，先知有無校巴/價錢。如各位有經驗或知道的，可否分享一下？

Depends on where you live obvious but generally you expect to pay around $2k-2.4k a month, and they need you to pay by school term.
If you have someone to help you I say it's better you catch a cab and perhaps share the costs with a classmate after you get to know people who live in your area. That's what I have been doing too.

thx for the info!我住黃埔，岩岩報左kln tong playgroup。原本一直打算報WP，但岩岩發現黎緊WP只會得返Sat有playgroup，好失望又大失預算。Kln tong唔近地鐵，對我黎講其實幾唔方便。可能如你所講，睇下到時有無人都住附近一齊搭車~
