Re: 有無小朋友喺將軍澳德寶翠茵綠茵國際班讀書的mummy入黎傾下?(唔係都可以入
Hello Sandy,
Never mind. I can share all what I know.
CCKG request parents to get and submit application form in person (no mail accepted). So you should go to the school twice before interview. In the application form, they need you to tell whether you or your husband or the kid has any brother/sister are DBS/DGS old boy or currently studying in these schools. And whether you're Christian or member of Christ Church.
I think due to the keen competition (you'll see the reality by yourself because you need to queue up when get and submit the application form), the above two factors are very important.
Then they'll send you notice for interview. On the interview day they need you to bring the latest school reports/assessments, etc.
All kids are interviewed by the principal (an English lady) in English. So whether your kid can communicate in English is a crucial. One parent was allowed to stay outside the interview room but not inside, so you couldn't know what happened during the interview.
When I went to pick up the application form last year, many private education centres people distributed information about 'mock interview classes' outside the school. I didn't let my son attend these classes last year. But if the school is your ultimate goal, you can consider let your son attend 1 or 2 these classes.
After the interview, my son told me that he could answer all the questions (like name, school name, etc. and asked my son to tell the differences of 2 similar pictures, etc.). But we failed at last. I guess it's because we're neither DBS/DGS old boy nor Christian, and the competition is so keen.
Good luck to you and your son ! Though we were not be admitted to CCKG, I think it's a good school. When I saw some students on the interview day inside the school, they all appeared to be very polite, gentle and mature.
