我不知太多,知道的有女拔。
You are wrong. DGJS does not let candidates choosing the language of interview.
1st in of DGJS use Cantonese, there is only a session using English to read story and the girls are required to have good English listening skill to answer the questions "on the paper". No spoken English is needed.
DGJS 2nd interview is conducted totally in Cantonese, nothing in English. If the girl's Cantonese is not good in listening and expressing herself cannot get through the 2nd in of DGJS. The headmistress is looking for expression ability in Cantonese, not in English to get through this 2nd interview.
My friend studying in famous kinder is complaining to me her girl had no good offer because her girl's Cantonese expressing is worse than English. Regretting focusing too much on English for her kinder life.
Unless the kid can master both Cantonese and English well (of course there are such language smart kids), putting more emphasis on English may bear consequences in future studies if aim at traditional local schools.
